We are holding a social in on Saturday the 29th December. We had a disco but unfortunately have just had a txt from the DJ tonight saying he's in hospital.
Please please please can anyone rescue us or knows someone who can rescue us??????

shagg -- thats there profile name, he is a dj and is doing the dj'ing at our wedding the week after u need him, try sending him a message, after all he can only say nooooo.....
I don't think Marya had a disco at the NE social she organised - just a few CDs playing for background noise. Meant everyone was able to socialise - it was fab!
never even gave that way a thought, will have a word with marya and anyone else that was there ...try and get some feedback.....mind i think it'll be either that or nothing .

agreed pk ...and also a few peeps that are on the list seem to agree.......we often say to newbies....that a social is a great thing to go to ...to put faces to names and to ask more experienced members questions about anything they are'nt sure about ........then we stick a dj in the corner then drown everyone out with music that no one dances to till there at least half cut........then all you read in the thank you thread the next day ..is...i wish i had spoke to so and so ohhhhhhh ididn't no so and so was there ....i wanted to chat to them ..........background music...lights on .....everyone can talk to everyone....
background music worked at the social we held at our pub, could adjust the volume as required. everyone who came had a good night too, just a thought. x
every one had a good time and said how good the music was.....may be this is the sort of thing that would work for you Mr Cream especially as it's relatively low cost :)
