Do couples actually swing anymore ?

We have been on here for a few years and have noticed a change. Whereas when we used to post an ad would receive a few replies and generally go on to have some " fun". We have made many good friends this way.
We have noticed that we are now contacted by single guys, picture collecters and other "wannabees". The couples seem to have disappeared.
Is this just happening to us, or have other people noticed this change ?

Site and ads seem to work for some people and not for others. We have never had any luck at all with the ads total waste of time. We do have an ad of each type I renewed them last night for the first time in ages and as normal responses from 2 single guys. That not unexpected as we do have a single guy ad but they would have to be almost exactly what was being sought after.
Never had any success from the lets meet up forum. Posted quite a few messages about going out in bristol looking for couples around our age to go out with. Only attracts tumble weeds and dust hence our signature lol

Munchs and socials seem to be the way to go for us. These have been our only real contact with the community and now due to kids were in a position where we cant go to hardly any confused

Safe to say if I/we were not free members this would be a dead Tweeky account.

We believe without a doubt things have changed over the last couple of years, with regard to meeting couples.
In fact we do not bother anymore.
We have had far more success on another site with regard to couples than on here. I do not know the reason for this.
You just have to keep trying and hope something turns up that suits you.
Cleverer people than me will not be able to answer your question, as there are too many reasons for it.

We have given up with the ads section ... never had any luck from it and only get replies from single guys. We have met and played with quite a few people (mainly couples) that we have met in the chatroom.
We dont do the socials/munch thing, just doesnt appeal ... maybe because we have a 'lets play and if we get on after and become friends, thats a bonus' theme to our swinging dunno

We have a lot more luck meeting couples on another site especially if its a short notice meet we are after but prefer here for the chat and forum. There are lots of people we have become very friendly with in chat.
The majority of our play is just bumping into people at parties and clubs.
It is soooo frustrating when you know that there are loads of genuine sexy people out there .... real swingers but you just cant find them!!

we seem to find what we looking for ok...
might not be the same night we r free....
socials still work for us as well...
yes lots don t read what u looking for when u update yr add...
and tho we don t put our selfs out to meet cpls...
have made lots of friends n played as well.
just hate the ones that say wife bi n its the hubby thats wants to play...
think the cold winter n bills have kept most of the cpls busy.

Whilst we maintain an ad on here we have to agree with other posters that the responses have dwindled away over the last 18 months/2 years. Couples that we know from the NW went to another Site that uses verification and we eventually had a peep too.
Forum on here is great but ad response has dropped off.

Even single guys like me have noticed a change ? the obvious fakes are easy to spot :twisted: but genuine couples seem to be on a decline .
Thats why I mainly stick with couples I have met and know or who have been recommended by a couple for me to meet.

I don't think there is a magic site, tho we have often wondered if there is such a site and no-one has told us about it.
But whichever site you go on, there are posts in the forums along the lines of "are there any genuine people on here" or "why can't I get a meet"
As regarding a slow down in meets. I'd agree, even the clubs are noticeably quieter than they used to be. I'd put it down to a combination of things, lack of money, orginal members finding other pastimes, bad weather. But most of all a general apathy in the Country. It's easier to stay in and watch X factor, or play Wii than actually DO something.
Shameless plug aproaching.........however we do meet, mostly at clubs, and are very genuine..........

About 6 years ago the swinging scene was having more than average TV coverage. There were several if not more documentary's on TV and we had shows like Sexcetra airing for the first time. TV coverage equals curiosity equals numbers up on swinging site. No doubt it will all happen again one day.

Though the site seems to be heading in a generally facebook direction it is certainly not the community it once was. All the things such as multi room occupation, multicam, instant messenger and group forums all conspire against a communal/social interactive site and lead to an evermore fractured diluted site, regardless of the best intentions of those augmenting the changes, who could do with sitting down and thinking how far forward things have come in the last few years. Good service doesn't necessarily mean more gadgetry.
We still swing and we can swing from this site, though it is a lot bloody harder now as the chatrooms are generally fucked all but the admin rooms and maybe 1 or two others are just holding areas for logged on members who are not actually there.

So that's why I never found anyone before!
I hope there are a still couples who swing since I'm now a swinging couple instead of another goomba in the legions of single males. Although without ads and awaiting the input of the missus I'm not expecting much right now lol

I just think swinging as a whole has gone down hill, it just seems to be the fashonable thing to do now days, like couples nights at clubs, they seem to be full of social swingers, couples who go cause its the in thing to do, the place to be, but i have noticed on couples nights at clubs theres always very little play, same with sites such as this, people join to see what its all about but i have to admit since the site was sold a few years ago and the number of members rocketed i get far less messages/replys than in the 'old days' when there was far less people on but probably more genuine people

Interesting as I was coming back to this thread today. I logged into one of the old sites I registered on last night just out of curiosity. Its a lot smaller than this but there were at least 5 events planned and every event had 4 or more pages of replies. So in respect of the membership size and the amount of events its far far more active than here. On a personal note though you see a lot of the same names at all the events, I find it a little over friendly between the members and wouldn't feel that comfortable at an event. I like the idea that at the SH events its pretty much a lot of new people every time but you can still see some old faces.
