Do I need to apply for Sickness Leave?

I know it's a strange one, but work insisted that I fill in my sickness self certification form before I go off sick, because in this instance I already know I'm going to be off sick next week rolleyes

So I've filled in the work one, but does this mean I have to fill in an SH one as well? I'm going into hospital next Monday for a hysterectomy :scared: so I won't be here for at least a week........ the good news is, I won't be going to work for at least 6 weeks after that so I can sit here and spout bollox to my heart's content biggrin

Marms, having met you on several occasions, and only having seen you actually clothed once, the thought of you turning up on the ward to visit me is even more scary than the op itself! :shock: :shock: wink

Let me know if you want to come to my house once I'm home though - I'll be needing people to do my washing, make cups of coffee etc while my slaves... erm I mean children are at school or with their dad :lol2:

well I can get a hold of a 60 seater smile

as it has dvd and tv (ofc) al we need is somebody to film the op for us and transfer to dvd, we can watch the gory bits on the way down for visiting :)

Well said Kaz, though I believe a nasal extraction like the Egyptians did with mummification may make it easier to reach the balls in some wink

Hope everything goes ok for you.
My sister in law had it done 2 weeks ago and is still recovering, hope you have plenty of friends to look after you as you will need them.

good luck with the opp felt so much better once she got over her hysterectomy that she had 5 yrs ago only bad thing was it took 3 months to fully back and let us know how ya getting on

Speaking as one who has 'got the T-shirt' Angel - I hope all goes well for you with the op, take your time with the recovery it does take 6 weeks they say and probabbly longer. So be good and take it easy.
On the other hand, if it has the same effect on you and it has on me, then life will be wonderful once you're recovered.

Thanks for all the good wishes everyone. I'm still terrified, but it's nice to know there will be so many of you thinking of me. If any of you do want to visit (that DOES include you Dawn! kiss
