rotflmao So glad it wasn't just me!
Seriously though, I look a bugger in leggings - wouldn't catch me wearing 'em & certainly wouldn't me anything even vaguely arousing if I did!

You know? That's what I thought too - and I'm a bloke!
Yes leggings can be sexy, and thongs are wonderful but they're so much sexier when they are revealed as a surprise, rather than being on display from the start.

There seems to be a trend of women wearing tights and knickers about the place.
Not just leggings or sports clothing, but what in all reality is 'underwear'.
I've a good mind to confront one and ask whether she realises she hasn't put her skirt on?
I like a nice tight bum and a thong as much as the next man, but to have em on show like that? No ta!
A my darling wife said - Classy girl!

The actual number of women who can get away with wearing leggings is probably about 10% of the number who actually do.
What follows is my personal view only.
I was brought up old-fashioned. To go out with your underwear showing through or alongside your clothes is 'common'. Totally gorgeous women (I mean models on top form) can get away with wearing a hessian sack with a nylon slip showing under it. But the other 99.9% of the population need to look very carefuly at what they look like before they go out. More homes need 'fitting room' mirrors so they can see the back. These lovely tops with halter-necks, webbed backs and other nice 'holey' details are ruined by having (totally different coloured) bra-straps on full view between the gaps, past the straps etc. I'd love to wear strappy tops but can't - unless it has an extra layer over to hide the bra-straps.
Now, many of the lovely SH'ers here have seen me at clubs in nothing BUT my underwear - that's an entirely different matter. :giggle:
None of the above should be taken as a suggestion that I think I have any right to dictate what others wear. biggrin
You wouldnt think so if I wore a pair :eeek:
The last time I wore legging was when I had my youngest and he`s 14 this year, I hated them then and I for one won`t be wearing them again just for the sake of anyone around me
And white leggings with a black thong, not classy at all, its like wearing a halter neck with a proper bra on, I hate to see that too
i love leggings but i wear them with a longish top .. gary loves to see me in them .. always says im very shaggable smile mind you he says that no matter what i wear :)
however i never wear white ones and would never wear anything white with black thong underneath .. gross
dont like thongs anyway tho
i do show off my bra straps tho, not in a tarty way tho .. especially love to wear either matching bra and top or clashing .. gary seems to like it and my daughter says only saddos hide their bra straps :)
tbh i wear what im happy in and what gary and my kids say looks good, i am frequently told i look far younger than i am so i must be doing summat right :)
I just look like a sack of potatoes in everything so a bra strap showing is the least of my worries lol however I am long past my leggings-wearing days and certainly not white (with, or without, a black thong) :eeek:
I've just started wearing leggings but I wear them with a skirt. I've never been comfortable in a short skirt but now that my legs are actually taking shape I quite like the leggings/skirt combo.

I suspect I'm probably too old for it but I'm really not caring!! :giggle:

Not a leggings fan at all sad horrid cheap things, the price of em I mean. These were what Mrs Tweeky wore when she was much younger and her Step Dads money was all spent on alcohol. All the clothes therefore were Primark or charity shop. Think for her they have the connection embedded on them.

Some of us can still only afford clothes from Primark and Asda, you know. Some may be offended by the implied criticism.
But I know what you mean about that kind of thing - I was forced to share every possession I had with my brother and sister as a child - so I hate sharing now. Including other people offering me a share of theirs - I mostly can't bring myself to accept. Which is stupid.
I like leggings best when they stop on the widest part of my calf because accentuating my shapely calf muscle is flattering. Somehow, this length seems to work whether you have small or big calves. Wearing leggings that stop below your knees but above your calf muscle will also work. Wearing them ankle length looks best on me, paired with a high heel. Most leggings are ankle length which means that you'll need to scrunch them up to your best length. This automatically makes them more opaque, which gives you extra coverage. I love them, however The wife has said, if she catches me in her leggings again there will be big trouble.....

I love Primark! :bounce:
It's brilliant... cheap as chips and a lot of the time you can make cheap clothes look a million dollars with the right accessories!
I don't want to spend a lot on clothes for work to be honest, I'd rather spend my cash on out of work clothes and I have a hugely expensive shoe habit. If I can get tops that don't cost a lot that look presentable then I'm fairly sure I'll buy them wherever. Gone are the days where I care about labels and trust me, when I was younger I really did care! I got a part-time job when I was 15 to pay for my shopping habit and there's a part of me that's sorry I didn't figure out cheap clothes sooner! lol
Some people can only afford to shop in the charity shops and Primarny. Some people have to dress their kids in designer gear to keep up with the other kids and I'm guessing most parents would make do with what they could find if it meant their kids have the best they can give them.
Whilst I have to concede that I went to Next for a decent pair of leggings... the cheaper variety are usually see through and I didn't want that. However, I'm lucky that I can afford to do that. Given the choice, I'd still go cheaper cause then I could have two pairs! wink
As for charity shops? There are days where they're the only shops I go to! There's something nice about raking through other people's cast offs. I like things that look like they've lived through someone else's history. Given the choice between a junk yard and a garden centre, I know where I'd be.
Apologies... I've waffled again. Tis a long time since I've felt the urge to waffle. :giggle:
i buy most of my leggings from Dorothy Perkins ( buy most my clothes from there and tesco), they are far from cheap but i like how they fit and last
i have one pair from Primark, not worn yet tho so not sure how they will last
im lucky that nowadays i can afford to make a choice where i shop but that wasnt always the case, and not everyone has that choice !!
i love primark tho cus i can buy more and have more choice smile and now iv lost weight (not thru choice) i can fit in their clothes :)
With ref to Primark which we have used recently I was interested to hear about the following that the Jehovah calling at my Mums door step told me about.

Does make you wonder why some things are so cheap.
Did not want to quote anyone in particular but will say you are speaking to about the least labeled and could care less person in the world. I have nothing at all to do with fashion or trends or buying labels of any kind. I actually try not to buy clothes at all where possible and live off stuff I get for my birthday and Christmas. As I have mentioned in other threads Ive lost a lot of weight over recent times and must say my one old belt is now doing very well with its second new hole lol
There is only one aspect in which clothes interest me and thats if they can make me £'s. For the bargain hunters charity shop trawlers out there consider any auctions you can find. Where I buy stock 6-8 bags of airport lost property will go for around £80 £100 including extras. These are not bin bags by the way these are big clear bags about tall and as much as you could put your arms around. Clothes for profit not something I tend to buy often as I am not good at selling clothes probably due to my severe lack of interest but as a one off example I picked up one shelf of clothes 2 weeks ago at auction for £28 and the 3rd item I looked at when I got home was a brand new River island top with tags for £45. In total there was about £100 of new stuff not including the used gear.
Talking about clothes small paragraph, talking about clothes for profit larger paragraph. You can see where my interest and priorities are
