Do you daydream? I do, not the looking outa the window and getting lost in a few minutes of nothingness, but proper daydreaming.
There’s the common one of winning the lottery, how you would spend it, where you’d live etc, but I dream others.
I’ve strode the fairways as a top ranked golfer, taking in the adulation of the crowd, mesmerising them with impossible shots, competing at the highest level and winning.
I’ve been a rock star, filling an auditorium with an audience, seeing them on their feet dancing, being whisked in and out of the stadium in cars with blacked out widows and demanding and getting Tuna sandwiches served by spoon playing dwarfs in my dressing room.
I’ve ridden the range on a horse called Malcolm, become the sheriff and bought peace and prosperity to the good folk.
I’ve been back to visit King Aurthers time, to live amongst the people, showing them modern things of awe, lighters, torches, matches, the Argos catalogue, and things not so good such as scart leads, TCP and blue stripe cola.
I know it’s not a secret yearning for a different life, or a more fulfilling one, as my life is, what I want it to be, I have fun and excitement, I complete jigsaws without the box lid and leave tailors dummies in woods with my number on them just to hear the words ‘At first I thought it was a body’ for a change. It’s not a yearning to live in bygone times as I always take a road container full of stores, weapons, medicines, hygiene and sanitisation products to ease my dream, but dream I do. Do you?
In the day dreaming sense I'm a typical Pisces....
I'm always in my own little world - can be about anything and everything.... the worlds my oyster in my dreams.
It must have been the Argos catalogue that gave Merlin his freaky magik! The fraud!

lots of daydreams here, about anything and everything
A common one is living somewhere we went on holiday (would probably need to win Euro millions to afford the house)
Having the fantasy car/selection of them cool
The sort of house I would have if money was no issue redface
Being alive in a different era (I would like to have lived with the Victorians)
Dream jobs
Being famous because of job
lots more surprisedops:
Do I daydream?
Yes. Often when I shouldn't be! redface
I daydream about living somewhere warm with a very nice man i know, we stroll hand in hand thru our woods, walking our dogs, stopping to kiss under a tree, paddle our feet in a cooling stream, eat good food and drink good wine, and make love like there is no tomorrow :inlove:
WOW that sounds good
I've always lived in my mind. I never mind if I have to wait for a bus or anything - I can entertain myself for hours.
After I went to see Les Miserables a few years ago I could run through it in my head and really enjoy it. I really need to go and see it again.

Les Mis is fabulous - can watch it over and over... well, could if I had the cash!
The first bit of your post struck a chord too. I'm similar: I only worry sometimes when I wonder if the conversations I'm having in my head have actually become verbalised redface I'd be mortified... and probably locked away somewhere! wink
Day dream. Do I ever. Working on your tod all day helps me through it.
Given half a chance I'd join my alter-ego flying short haul in central and southern Europe, and spend my holidays in one of those 5 star huts on stilts in the indian ocean.
They have an outdoor lounge area where you can just slip off the edge and into the clear indian waters, and have a glass topped table which allows you to see into the waters so you can watch mermaids swim by. :rascal:

Definitely in my top 5 musicals.
I daydream/fantasise constantly if my mind isnt otherwise engaged and have used it as a night time exercise since childhood. They aint always filthy either. I read somewhere that this can be a sort of rehearsal for real life situations and one should be wary of planning undesirable events. Ive never found it a problem, has anybody else?

I day dream a lot, usually when I am supposed to be working.
Anyhooooooooooooo
Last night I woke up at I think I had a bad dream relating to a book I am currently reading. I am taking study of the Plantagenets far too seriously.
All day today I have been lacking concentration - more than normal - I keep going back to the dream that I can't quite remember, wondering what really did happen to Queen Philippa.
And she didn't even die a horrid death through child birth.
Let's face it, I am just weird.
