Actually no, I am stuck in a musical timewarp, if its 60's 70's and 80's I'm happy, there are occasional songs from the last 2 decades I like, but thats a rarity.
My favourite bands are the Eagles, Steely Dan and Fleetwood Mac. (just to give you some idea)

There are times, not many. Mostly she sits in the box marked 'best left behind'. I made a complete and utter foul of myself.
Still best it happened when I was young.

I remember my first love.. We were together at school until we left at the age of 17. We parted then and he married and he still lives in the same town as me and i see him sometimes going about everyday life! We still talk but nothing there anymore. I would have to say my proper first real love was with my hubby who have been with for 17 years now! As for Mr Tiggs, well will have to get him to comment later on his first love biggrin

Yeah I'd agree with that... the expression "first love" (see my earlier post in this thread) for me refers to the boy I *thought* I was in love with, the one I lost my virginity to and the one who, until recently, I remembered with fond memories.
The first man I truly loved... I think about him often. If there was ever a one for me, then he was it. wink

I may have cited someone else as my first love but believe, as several people have mentioned, it was infatuation or similar. I married my first true love and we're still together :inlove:

Prompted by this thread, I just contacted an ex of mine.
Twelve years have passed but t'is cool to be in touch. So cheers Fabs... I probably wouldn't have been thinking of lovers past if you hadn't have started this thread.

My first love was a boy I met through a close school friend. they lived on the same estate. Some things do make me think about him. That was my longest relationship I had....until I got with the Mr. I do sometimes wonder how his family are cos his mam was really fond of me, and vice versa.
I've now found out, from catching up with this school friend, that he has about 5 kids with 3 different women now lol

It was a lovely realtionship with happy memories, but I just wasn't ready for a relationship at 16, he didn't deserve me, so broke it off, for his sake. But split with no hard feelings biggrin

Yes I do. He turned up on here recently but has since disappeared again, I couldn't have met up with him though it wouldn't have been fair, 20 years is too long a gap.
My next true love is the one I'm with now, and the in betweeners I think of only if something comes to mind that reminds me of them.

i myself think you only ever find 1 true love, i adored mine would have and did do anything he asked but it wasnt to be after a couple of years together he told me he didnt love me or even care for me it has left me broken hearted but hey life goes on

I was 10 when i met my first love redface

and after not seeing him for years he turned out to be a nieghbour when i moved house :shock: , it wasa bit of a shock after all those years. As for true love i`m feeling that right now, warm and tingly is good wink
