An idea ripped off from the radio.
Do you have an obscure link to someone famous. Here are 2 of mine:
1. A distant cousin ( a cousin of a cousin?) wrote On the Buses. Yes I shared a dinner table with him and he thought modern sit-coms were rubbish.
2. I once saw the same film as Simon Le Bon. In the same auditorium and everything.
Yes, I do! :bounce:
:smug:
1. my 2nd cousins' wife is presenter (aggie) on channel 4 " how clean is your house?"
2. my dad has met Patrick Stewart several times, the guy from Star Trek & X-men
3. My mum has met Prince Charles (got photos for proof)
I have a friend whose Nan was married to David Baileys Dad!......David Bailey...whose David Bailey?
i met rugby player, who played for the Newcastle Falcons on train from newcastle to london, he was bloody huge, form samoa/ tongo. he was telling me had injury - crushed his wrist , had couple pins in his wrist was going to twickenham to help out in rugby tournement.
never been to either of them!
mmmmmmmm bit of a long shot. My Cousin is married to the consultant Gynaecologist to the Harem of the Sultan of Brunei..........Absolutely true.
I once had the opportunity to shoot Martin McGuinness of Sinn Feinn....although viewing someone through a rifle sight is hardly meeting them. I resisted the temptation by the way. (it was in the 1970s)
Oh and I was for a short time responsible for looking after the horses of Captain Mark Phillips and met the Princess Royal a number of times. (also 1970s)
to live on the same road as "big daddy" when i was much much younger and used to play with his kids and his biiig white fluffy dog...cool
I'm not particularly impressed by celebrity, I'm impressed by talent, some of the most talented people never get to be celebrities but I'm proud to say I know quite a few.

When I was a student I worked in a bingo hall, where I gave change to, and checked a claim for an ex England football player. His mam is a regular and him and his entourage used to come in and play sometimes.
I also used to drink in nightclub on Newcastle's quayside which was popular with the Newcastle United football team. Quite often stood next to a footballer at the bar, but not being into football didn't have a clue until the lads I was with pointed out who they were (then still didn't have a clue lol)
I huffed Jimmy Saville a couple of years ago when he was walking the Great North Run. I was walking along the side of the Felling Bypass as he was speedwalking his way down in front of the runners. I didn't acknowledge him and got a very curt "Good Morning!" shouted to me.
One of my mates used to be an extra in Byker Grove.
Another made was spotted by a CK model scout in our local pub and whisked off too New York for a photoshoot. So she was semi famous and adorned the back of a few buses in London for the duration of the CK campaign. She arrivied in New York a day later than she should of due to a passport mix up and missed out on attending a party at Iggy Pops house.

The guy who wrote On the Buses (talented? Famous?) also wrote The Rag Trade and was living off the sales of the rights to this prog. Apparently he had just sold them to South African TV and made a packet. By the way not surprisingly he was not very funny despite making so called humourous remarks
i know a few infamous people
well I`m famous.................in my own lunchtime
