I have 2 rashers of grilled bacon, 1 sausage, mushrooms and a poached egg every day during a working breakfast meeting at I have tried toast and cereal etc but it just doesn't give me the energy I need to get through the day. A good breakfast kickstarts your metabolism and is the one meal that we all should not miss out on. Plus I really enjoy mine mmmmmm biggrin

Soooooo are you saying you like nothing more than a hot sausage first thing in the morning innocent
sorry but the joke had to be done redface

I've just shared my Shreddies with 300 photos I've just authorised. Its a wonder I can still eat anything :eeek:

300? Off to check that you've authorised them all properly Dawnie. Needs must, and all that
Breakfast for me is a banana and a yogurt usually, unless I've worked up an appetite the night before redface
I have terrible visions in my head about eating a banana while authorising pictures :eeek:

I quite often only eat 1 meal a day, but then I do make up for it when I do eat, depends on what I'm doing that.
I hate breakfast. I force myself to eat a slice of toast because 'it's good for me' and I quite often only eat that when I've got to work and had at least two cups of coffee.
Nothing to beat a hot bowl of porridge - no that's not a euphamism, it's oats LOL. With a drop of extra milk and a big spoon of brown sugar. Lovely. Shame I only have time for bran flakes most days.

Do you not like OastsoSimple? The golden syrup one is gorgeous. I'd only eat it for supper though.

LOL I can't afford it. But I'm not fond of it - too pappy for me. I like the old-fashioned stuff biggrin:D Like my men.

I have to eat breakfast first thing on a morning and also eat regularly during the day otherwise I develop headache and/or migraines.
Weetabix and a cup of tea is my order for brekkie lol
Alex xx
Tell em how many weetabix though, Alex.
Can't stand the stuff myself.
The closest I get to breakfast food is maybe peanut butter on toast but at least 2 and half hours after I've got up.
3 - with semi-skimmed milk and no sugar!

I've been feeling really bad since this thread started as I don't eat breakfast, but know that I should do.....so today for the first time in ages I had breakfast, and had strawberries with yougurt....all be it at after I'd got to work and listened to my messages but I thougt it was better than nothing...and I'm going to be good from now on and have breakfast every day...... biggrin
As a side note to this thread, here are some of Mr John Harvey Kellogg's thoughts:
"A remedy which is almost always successful in small boys is circumcision...The operation should be performed by a surgeon without administering an anesthetic, as the brief pain attending the operation will have a salutary effect upon the mind...In females, the author has found the application of pure carbolic acid to the clitoris an excellent means of allaying the abnormal excitement. "
He invented his nasty slop to lower the sex drive of the American people, as he believed a high protein brekkie would be far too arousing
So swingers beware; two fingers to corn flakes and a big hello to scrambled eggs!

I would love sex for breakfast every morning...
I stuff my face at brekkie!
It's my favourite meal of the day!
My mum and I always ate it, whereas my dad and sister never, my mum and I have always been slimmer than them , and I think it's because of brekkie!
I can't eat straight away- I get up too early for work, so I usually eat when I get in.
It's usually a bowl of porridge with a wee touch of salt, or museli and a seed mix with natural yoghurt and fruit chopped in, plus another piece of fruit, some fresh juice.
I'll occasionally have cooked brekkie at the weekend, but it would have to be grilled!
I've usually eaten my lunch during morning break and stuff myslef with ryvitas or oatcakes and veg, so later in the day I'm never hungry-i'm weird!
If I don't eat breakfast then I end up having biscuits or cakes from the staff room etc- bad maz!
If I do have break, I'm not usually hungry at night so wouldn't always have dinner....
But I do eat a feast all day long!!!
I have a whole shelf at work- the office looks like a supermarket with all my munch packets!
M xx
Maz - "But I do eat a feast all day long!!!" - how do you stop the ice cream from melting; or is that half the fun?

Studies have shown that people who regularly eat a breakfast have higher metabolisms and therefore are generally slimmer. Apparently bacon and poached egg are the best to keep you full til lunchtime, cereal will have you hungry again in about an hour.
There ya go... lol
I agree jaymar
The first thing I learnt at Weightwatchers was never EVER skip brekkie! It kickstarts your metabolism and helps the rest of the day's food digest quickly plus it gives you energy for the morning. Porridge is excellent as it's slow release.
The trouble with me is, working shifts I'm never sure when brekkie time is rolleyes so I usually have cereal when I get up teatime if I'm on nights.
