Just a topic for discussion really! Given the seemingly endless amount of single guys wanting quick sex with single girls (in the ad section in particular), does this count as "Swinging"?
Surely the point of swinging is for couples to extend there sex lives, with either another couple, or single guys and girls.
But single blokes meeting single girls (or other single blokes for that matter!) is just, well, sex isn't it?

I covered that - see above!
I don't mean people who have fun with other couples - i just mean people who have fun with other singles!
For example, an ad that says "guy wants c*ck sucked by fem tonight" or "girl wants seeing to by sexy man".
I just can't see how that type of ad fits into a swinging category!
A single invited by a couple for a threesome is quite obviously swinging of course!!!

Why does swinging have to be a number game? After what number does it become an orgy? If you sleep with two people on seperate nights are you a swinger? No. If you live the life style and have a different partner every 6 months is that swinging?
I think it is more down to an attitude of sex and what its about. Its taken from the closed door bedroom senario to a openness and honesty, away from the dirty to the fun...

I think "Swinging" in the original sense of the term IS a number game because it implies "wife swapping".
However, the modern etymology of "Swinging" could be to include "events involving those who are sexually liberal".
But surely every human on the planet with very few exceptions would like to have sex with other people, so by extending the term "swingers" to include people who just like to have sex with other single people would mean that absolutely everyone on the planet is a "swinger"!
Again, i'll stress that i'm not criticising in any way - i just think myself that it shouldn't be deemed "swinging"; but should be more along the lines of "NSA Sex between singles".

I think your probably right, single meets single = casual sex , well thats how i see it, not that theres anything wrong in that of course, but i think swinging means different things to different people,wether it be couples meeting singles, couples meeting couples, or singles meeting singles, as long as we`re non judgemental about how different people see it , and want out of the lifestyle, then all should be fine.

Sometimes it is easier for singles to meet others in this way, maybe they are shy or unable to trawl the town centre pubs, due to lack of funding etc. Whichever way people meet and however it is perceived, either "swinging" or "tarting" or just getting a shag, who cares as long as they are safe and not hurting others

It does kinda imply that you see singles looking for sex here as being in the wrong place though. I choose not to meet couples from my ad because there are too many permutations to consider. Will I fancy her, will I fancy him, will either or both of them fancy me? I prefer to decide who I want to swing with (couples wise) from meeting people at social events. Furthermore, most of the single males I meet, although I insist on a social first, I usually end up going to swinging clubs with. I still fail to see how this makes me any less of a swinger than you just because I don't have a regular partner.
And quite frankly, it pisses me off when I'm made to feel like a second class citizen of the site when couples infer that I shouldn't be here if I'm only looking to meet other singles

Forgive me if I ramble on, but (theres always a but) I rememebr not very well, there are something like four stages of humanity. Evolution of the human kind. First stage is living together as in towns and villages actually working together. The nesx is procreation so you name and bloodline carry on. an imortallity type of thing. This is where most anthropologists think we are now.
Stage three is sex not just to procreate but for fun. Are we the next evolution of the species? Is it just that the rest of the world havnt caught on?
