Following on from the week posts....
Friday, back box on car fell off.......Saturday morning, Kwik fit, sorted.
Saturday night, pull into petrol station for some juice... fill up, got to pull away after paying... on way to SurreySingle's party.... Gearbox goes.
Thankfully, The Kent Host(who lives quite nearby) generously gave Susie and I a lift home.
I was made redundant a couple of months ago, i now have no car, and no money to fix the fecker, it's still in bloody Hampton Court, I'm in kent. No money to get tow truck to bring the bastard thing back.
I am totally well and truly hacked off and now just waiting for the next thing to go wrong....
Paul
(soz folks, just needed to let off)
go along to tescos , buy the cheepest road side recovery that alows for towing home, then get them to do it. a lot cheeper than paying £150+ for a tow truck, or even cheeper find somone whos a member of AA and get them to go with you saying they were your passenger, might even get a night in a hotel paid for
failling all of the above, get pissed biggrin
xxxfemxxxxxxxxx
Aw, hunny, C'mere!! passionkiss
I think the 'fake' passenger trick now only works with the RAC. The AA covers a car, whereas the RAC will cover either a car or a person, depending on what plan you joined...
Ant.
It was really good to meet you both last night, even with your trials and tribulations.
Hope you get the car sorted soon so we can see you both again.
Good to meet you both on Sat.... Good luck with getting the car back.
One small point - the AA covers the person, not the vehicle. This is vvv important to me cos I have more than one.....
Cant you put it in neutral and get a tow?
Or if it wont move to nuetral just dip the clutch and get towed.
Agreed AA does cover the person not the Car.
There is always the booze option though wink

Try breaking a match, my mother used to say when a couple of thing had gone wrong, so why don't you break several?
Mind you, I never did me much good! as over the years i've:
Broken both arms,
Broke my back, five ribs and fractured my pelvis in a fall.
Lost the skin off both legs in a gas explosion,
Gone through two divorces.
Lost two businesses.
Gone broke.
Been homless.
AND CAN'T FIND ANYONE ON HERE TO INVITE ME TO JOIN THEM. rolleyes
But you just have to grin and bare it, don't you? And I feel lucky, now I've just been done for speeding. £60 + 3 points. And I'm a chauffeur!
Where's those bloody matches?
Keith.
won a tenner on the lottery last night tho!!!!!!!!!
so maybe things r looking up
if you do get cover read the small print cos alot wont cover you for first 24 hrs or so

Nah! Best bet is a good tow-rope from Halfords, and any old idiot who doesn't mind burning their clutch out.
Failing that, call a scrap yard, pay 25 quid, and they'll pick it up. Problem solved for good.
PS
Yes car group are very good at providing a new car fast, as long as you don't mind paying through the nose for it, and realise you will always owe more than the car is ever worth!!
Sorry, only trying to look on the bright side, in a twisted sort of way.
Don't see why you lot should have all the fun at our expence. evil mad confused
