well primcess..what we can see on avatar looks very pleasing on the eye I must admit...so can't see why you have a problem with that.
the thing it is all down to what you after. If its sex, then to be honest and port in a storm will do !!! Thou a pulse would be nice.
If you want more, or a regular thing, then that is when personality comes into play.
But those that say it has to be personality and nothing else are deluding themselves. when you looking over in a pub, club or even street, you don't stare and say..cor what a personality !! So there always has to be some sort of physical attraction.

Initially just looking for the pulse and then the personality comes into play if you see them for a while. I have always been a believer that there is no such thing as love at first sight granted you can find somebody attractive but they might have a total crap personality initially its just lust.
Good question Princess and something I have thought about more than once. I'm don't think I hit EVERY branch of the ugly tree on my way down but I'm not Brad Pitt/Tom Cruise/etc either. As a species we are 'programmed ' to be attracted to healthy good looking members of the opposite sex (it's all to do with good breeding prospects apparently)
I think a common problem for most people is lack of confidence and a fear of rejection but if you can get to know someone then personality and a GSOH should shine through.

Seriously - in a group situation, say in a club a pulse is pretty much it for me.... plus a couple of ounces of politeness.... oh and the evidence of the use of soap and water. However, if I'm looking to go out with someone for a social night out as well as a shag, then personality plays a huge part. I have to be able to have a laugh with them and converse with them on an intelligent level - OK, on some level at least, it doesn't really have to be intelligent :lol2: . But if I was involved with someone whom I was considering having a more definate relationship with, then I would have to fancy them as well as be their friend - kinda strange really
