i would'nt hold all your hope on meeting others for this site. there are loads and loads of timewasters here. out of 4563 views from my ad only 16 ppl replyed and out of the 16 ppl only 1 was 110% gen but saying that i am still waiting to meet them. o well it don't cost you nowt so just keep posting and getting your time wasted here. wax

Just following up on what wax said. Of course there will be always be more views of ads than replies. I have looked at a lot of ads myself but only replied to a very few. there are a couple of reasons for this:
a) most people positng ads have criteria. If I don't meet the criteria (for whatever reason) then I don't reply. In my opinion, if I did then I WOULD be timewasting. Mind you, I do sometimes send a quick reply to compliment them on an ad I really liked whilst acknowledging that I am not what they are looking for. After all, it costs nothing to be nice and it might make them feel good too (pauses to polish halo!!

b) I also have criteria and if the ad doesn't meet those or if there is something about it that makes me feel uncomfortable then I will not reply. The thing is, you don't know that until you have read the ad.
There may be lots of other genuine reasons too. I am new here as well but I have (so far) stuck to my own principles of being honest (because you will have to be in the end) patient (don't expect it to happen at once) and (I hope) friendly. I am enjoying myself browsing profiles, reading ads and joining in the forum. If I meet someone then great, if I don't then I am having fun anyway. Bloody hell, that halo is positively blinding now

I can only agree, with most of what has been said.
Yes it does work and people do meet up but, as with most things in life, you tend to get out what you put in.
As AK says, there are no guarantees. Better to accept that patience is a virtue, when looking for suitable partners/playmates.
You will get the mindless, stupid and hopeless, responding to any ads you place.
You will almost certainly get let down, at some stage.
You may even question whether there are any other sane people left alive. :shock:
However, stick at it and sooner or later you should find what you're looking for.
In the mean time there are plenty of "experienced" couples in here who can offer guidance and advice, based on their own experiences. 8)
