Can anyone help me out here. Why do sailors have such a bad reputation?
I suppose it may be the thinking that years ago when sailors were at sea for months on end the primal urges could take over, so at the next port of call many sailors would go looking for lady friends hence the saying "a girl in every port"
They wear flared trousers and sport beards................a dodgy combination.
dambuster i dont know what u mean?
I used to be a sailor many moons ago and I always thought that I had a good reputation.
Basically it is probably up to the so called seemens yarn. Most of them drink a lot also when they are home at leave and then the tell a fibby or two of how they have a girl in every harbour just to show off.
Most of them where just normal guys like everybody else and many men not in the navy like to brag off with how many women the slept and how easy it was to get them. So
were is the difference.
I am sure there a quite a few on these forums which are not really interested in swinging in the true sense of the word but just to get easy access to women. What reputation is that than?
the reputation is that every girl i have met automatically thinks that sailors shag anything that moves all i am saying is not all sailors are like that and i am certainly not here for easy access to woman! i am here because its something that i want to try and the reason that i put this post up was to get to know people. so thankyou for all you replies.
Yes your right sorry ice pie i thought i had to get it in somehow i dont think people would have guest with my nickname on here?
Ive always wondered why servicemen and squaddies of every flavour feel the need to mention it so quickly . I mean there are very very few screen names like "daveaccountantcyfella" or "billymilkmanchap" and yet having strode in wearing their officer and a gentleman gear they then ask why some folk attach certain attributes to servicemen .
Hm .
Gotta Agree wi the Pieman
