Double Standard 1. a rule or principle applied more strictly to some people than to others (or to oneself). – The Concise Oxford English Dictionary.
2. A double standard, according to the World Book Dictionary, is a standard applied more leniently to one group than to another. For example, the belief that it is permissible for teenage boys, but not teenage girls, to engage in premarital sex is a double standard. While double standards are generally condemned in the abstract, they are also very common.
How many of us have double standards?
I know I do confused

I have both piercings & tattoos & like them, but all of which can be "hidden" but I dont like to see tattoos on a womans arms yet love them on a mans arms.
I'm sure if I thought about it I have several more rolleyes

Well I think most males love looking at erotic pics or porn but,would be horrified if their daughter were to appear in a topshelf mag or do porn etc.I know I would and yeh...that probably is double standard

Girls dads always love me until i do one tiny little thing, like bring thier daughter home covered in mud wearing my clothes :giggle: Now thats a double standard, they should love me all the time!

One of our client's at work is gay. He suggested we should send round a handsome young workman in shorts to work in his house. The office was horriifed. However the little old ladies often make similar requests which we just laugh about.

I of course have many double-standards...
... though on reflection have good cause, and am quite justified in being this way... where-as, no-one else is.

yeah woman have double standards
if men take a long time to do something they are slow
but if women take a long time then they say they are thorough rolleyes
