Can anyone out there help me install this netgear DG834G router ?????
Im wanting to get my xbox 360 online !!!!
It is a wirless router, but i just want to use the ethernet cables as my computer is close to my xbox/tv
I dont know much about computers and will probs need someone local to come round and do it for me. I have tried for a few weeks but im getting know where lol
I need it to work with my AOL(isp). The router came with an AOL installation disc. When trying to install the router fails at the 4th stage, saying my user name or password is incorrect. But i have been on the phone to AOL for over an hour and my name and password is ok. AOL just hung up on me after trying all sorts of things lol

DURHAM... help with installing netgear router with aol
I'm a bit of a thicko when it comes to this sort of thing (understatement 
)
But - I used to have aol and got a netgear router. With my netgear router I also got a David.
Plugged in the router, booted everything up - and the David automatically installed everything. Bobs your uncle, jobs a goodun :thumbup:
If by chance you can no longer get one of these Davids, then have you tried to enter the router or whatever term is the right one? :cool:
It's something like 0.1
On the wireless tab (I think.... wasn't exactly engrossed what the David was doing :? ). It says username and password. Put in your email address and password and it should work.
I have no idea if I've just stated the bleedin obvious, if I've just blown up your machine, or if I've gone off track and explained something totally different from what you asked or what :uhoh:
Hopefully someone will come along with a proper answer - one that says what I just said preferable :uhoh:
