I have a Lycos email account and have an awful time sending pics from it. I even have problems sometimes just sending emails!!! I know some Providers block others or their attachments, but which are the good ones and which are the worst?
Comments?

The ones that work for me for internet email are
- if u sort the spam filters out - i've had a account for nearly 7 years now
- pretty good, very little spam and i've never had a problem sending or receiving files
lycos - yeh - I use that for basic messages ie urls from work etc - seems to take an age for anything else.
I'm a long time user. Note 'New Account' sign up tab on the page at the end of this link.
I've found ok - except you never know when you don't hear back from people if the mail+JPEGs attachments you sent just disappeared into digital smithereens or ended up someplace else redface. Equally the case that you don't know if some replies with JPEG attachments are failing to reach you confused:
I'm beginning to find the free account limiting if you're going to be sending and rcvg JPEGs - as you will if you run an active account for trying to have swinging times
The standard, free, account allows for:-
2MB of e-mail storage
1MB attachment limit

Trouble is, if you pay for an account they have the account linked to your credit card details mad and you might not like that (I don't, for one).
Yeah, are pretty good, I've had various accounts over the years and never had a huge problem, except when I couldn't send to any AOL addresses, but that seems sorted now. I also use , but often can't get on as the servers get very busy very quickly. I did try Excite once but gave it up as a bad job.
I use it offers 6mb of free storage before you have to pay for additional.
I have not encountered the problem Blue refers to about server availability but I am not a prolific user.
is web based not PC based and has successfuly kept all e-mail viruses off my PC thus far .Touch wood!
Mal,
I was getting tired of the extraneous, spam like, lines that lycos was appending to the end of my emails. I'm now with For 12 quid I got a domain registered for 2 years and an email account that I can use either with outlook, or via a web interface. I've had it about 3 months now and so far I'm very impressed.
