If my memory is correct my original prediction for this game some months ago was 1-1 followed by England winning 2-1 and 2-0 in the following games. Today on match day I am slightly more optimistic and think we will nick it but I'll stick with my original 1-1 prediction. This is not like playing the USA from 10 years ago, I dont think hardly any of their players play in the USA they all play either in the UK or Europe so they will be very versed in playing against us.
EDIT: Just looked at the USA squad courtesy of Google and most do play here in the UK if not then big European sides such as Hamburg and Villarreal. This is no push over game for sure.

Still at least we did not lose, if that is any consolation at all.
We played a team that beat Spain and were leading Brazil 2-0 in the confederations cup final. 1-1 is hardly a bad result even if the USA actually did not play as well as I thought they might. We all know this should have been a 1-0 victory but still you would have to fancy us getting out of this group. The interesting bit now is can we out score the USA in order to win the group.
