Time for some festive fun for those that want it....all the humbuggers who dont like it can click the back button and go humbuggery elsewhere!!
kids have had the magic radio TV channel on and its playing all 'your' fave christmas songs
so what are yours...not carols, but the poppy/rocky/novelty ones that get churned out year after year....

Chirpy chirpy cheep cheep is my personal favourite with its meaningful lyrics and soulful tones. Really is a Christmas top tune :thumbup:

I'm quite a fan of "Santa Baby" too - used to get its annual airing on our Christmas CD when I worked in retail.

Traditional tunes - my 2 faves are A Coventry Carol and Celine Dion's version of Oh Holy Night
Oldies - Jim Reeves doing Silver Bells and Eartha Kitt singing Santa Baby
Pop - has to be Slade for the top one and Maria 'why sing one note when 27 will do' Carey's All I want for Christmas is you for some sloppy stuff
Funny - it has to be Kevin 'Bloody' Wilson's Hey Santa Claus You C**t'! Class! rotflmao

Please don't let on I've listed Celine Dion and Maria Carey amongst my faves or my cred will be shot to pieces redface

I can't remember the name or who sang it - but I love the one that has the lines:
"They said there'd be snow at Christmas,
They said there'd be peace on earth.
Halleluja, farewell, be it heaven or hell.
The Christmas we get, we deserve."
A good reminder of how shallow and empty Christmas can be and that we have to make it into what it should be - it won't do it itself.
