With the rise and rise of cable and satalite TV you can now watch many childhood favorites on various different channels. Theres also a good few DVD and video collections out there too.
But ... Whats your lost gems that you can no longer see on todays TV channels?
One of mine is Quincys Quest with Tommy Steele. Its all about some toys who have to escape going in the furnace by getting Father Christmas to rescue them Its not been aired since the late 70's I dont think and it quite scared me when I was ickle. Someone has put it all on Youtube, but I want to see it on TV or DV so I have passed. Fist link included anyway.

Second, The box of delights. I can hardly remember what this was all about now but just the theme music still sends chills down my spine.

Finally, Chocky. Quite freaky having an alien in your bedroom. This was probably one of my all time TV series was totally glued to it always biggrin

Look forward to knowing yours biggrin
The Flaxton Boys.
I think it was only shown on Tyne Tees or Yorkshire TV. The theme was a Prokoviev's Classical Symphony (I think) but only I seem to know what it was used for all those years ago.
Great story, a couple of lads from boarding school, at home at a large country house, big brother flew a WW1 plane. Pretty sure it was set between the wars (No, children, not the 2 Gulf wars - the 'war to end all wars' and the 'war to end all wars 2.0').

Ive just been informed that I was told previously here... and I'd even forgotten that!
I shall no doubt now sink into some form of shock.
Gawd knows where I'll wake up tomorrow.
I Fear!
lp
Stig of the dump
there was another one I enjoyed that involved space travellers to earth that spoke and write backwards as they had found a plakky bag with writing on and read it as they saw it
cant remember what it was called though
Not going to quote here as would be here all day lol
Kaz: No I dont remember Dramarama dunno
Sassy-Seren: I had been told about the singing ringing tree before but never seen it. That looks like a very odd little show, intrigued as I am sure my daughter would love it. Will have to see if its available anywhere. Remember Catweazel very well, think they had us watching that in school for some odd reason.
Lilnfil: Time Tunnel was great if its the same one I am thinking of. Its American? NOt for kids I would say more kind of family orientated. Its the one where they run up the odd multi ringed tube?(que jokes)
Bonediggers, Earthy: The Sullivans now we are getting off topic but my Mum watched that all the time too. Strange she just does not watch soaps, wonder what was different about this one. Ohh go on then lets have the title music rolleyes

Bluefish: I only remember Mr Ben and the Clangers and possibly Ludwig, thats got me thinking now lol
2filthy4u: Round the twist  That was an amazing show and it lived up to its name. Remember the episode where the kid is cursed to be shat on by every Seagull in existence no matter where he goes? In the end he ends up in a wooden hut which is totally buried in Seagull shit.
Imapleasentguy: Those look horrendous :scared: Maybe as bad as Why dont you?
Rnadom Orbit ROLP or whatever you want to be called: innocent
Trigg732: I bought my daughter all of Bagpuss too and Camberwick green, not in the least bit interested sad Good for me though.
Steve: Bod was a legend! and so was that frog afterwards but I got so angry if he chose Strawbwerry milkshake and not the chocolate
One last word or link from me. There is always the classic you forget. Weekend mornings I think Saturdays were never the same without this

This also made me think as someone made a queen reference earlier today. Here are the closing titles from Starfleet

Judged to be so good by Brian May that he covered it

On that note! See ya later
Thanks for reminiscing all
ooh rhubarb n custard, used to love that
ah yes!

lp
tweeky - try fleabay, that's where I got hold of a copy on dvd biggrin

hong kong phooey

As already posted I loved the Double Deckers, and another fave was Top Cat, basically Bilko, but set in a New York Alley Cat world.
