Read a good article the other day and wish I'd kept the link but basically, it's now proven that men are more efficient shoppers than women because we know what we want and go straight there to get it whereas a woman will meander all over the place getting stuff they never wanted to start with ... and probably going home without the thing they went shopping for

I had to laugh so hard ........... men might get what they want and therefore get shopping done quicker, but they get what they want not what is needed by the whole family!!!!!!!
Once sent my ex shopping whilst I was ill ... our normal food bill was Â£150 he spent Â£300 and I starved and couldn't clean for a month!!!!!!!!!!!!

yep, yove all got it now, why i really dont like christmas, too much hassle, no real christmas spirit like when i was a kid..shut all the shops for a week and lets see um panic then LOL
did my shopping today in asda sad

complete mayhem, especially when someone announced they'd just put out the last of the turkeys...eek...i wanted to dive for cover!! ppl have gone insane- whats going on, its only one day...to top it off i have an ear and throat infection, and cant drink til boxing day cos of the bloody antibiotics, but then it will be pointless cos im back at work monday and need at least 24 hours to recover from the hangover..argh!

Argh! Despite my shopping being completely over and done with I made the HUGE mistake of needing CASH yesterday. It took me 35 minutes to get round Tescos car park, only stopping for 2 mins to go to the cash machine!
Still felt very smug that I wasn't battling those crowds for the last tin of quality street though lol

I've yet to buy alcohol. I had a cunning plan to get it last night. Thought I'd do some late shopping, miss the crowds. Get to Tesco at about 10:00pm and they only feckin stop selling alcohol at 9:55pm! WTF? Oh, and it was still seriously busy. So I'm going to have to try this lunch time.

Oh it made me laugh reading you lot complain about xmas shoping, I have been one of the poor souls behind the checkouts this year, dealing with grumpy customers who really dont want to buy all that stuff but do cos they fel they have too - you never know the world MIGHT end on boxing day.
Then there is the need to buy huge amounts amount of alcohol making the poor checkout operator lift the dam things up one end cos the stupid manufacturers thought it would be a really good idea to put the bar code on the BOTTOM ffs!!!!!!!
Anyway my rant is over I am not working till monday and have absolutely no need or desire to go near a shop till then.

calista, i had to laugh at that too..ive also sent my fella out shopping before , he too spent twice as much, and 'forgot' cleaning things, toiletries etc..and 'real food' the kids were really happy tho with his choices...bags and bags of junk food and sweeites- never again. LOL
