A fetish will always be a fetish, by definition, however our use of the term in a broader sense changes it. For example if it was normal for everyone to use a pair of black high heels to get off with, it would be normal but it would still be a fetish because it's the use of an object. We use the word 'fetish' to describe something unnusual even though that's not what the word actually means. Did any of that make sense?
