There have been so many new members of the forum recently that I've begun to feel like an old hand when in fact I'm a relative newbie myself. And this has made me reflect on the forum itself and the people in it. Sgt Bilko put it so well that I'm going to steal his quote:
So much so that I am not looking for anything from this site other than to continue to have a laugh with the people I have met here and those I have yet to meet.

I came on this site looking for casual encounters without strings. What I've found are friends, some of whom I've met and some I haven't - I still count them as friends. I've found laughter, wit, intelligence, support and friendship. These things are priceless.
So, while sex might have been the first object, it is no longer - to the point that I go into the chatroom for a laugh rather than to arrange meets.
Thank you to Mark, the moderators, the regulars and the new members who make this site such a brilliant place to be.

Right, sentimentality done, anyone want to help me tame the rabbit?
:inlove: :inlove: :inlove: :inlove:
and the funny thing is, Sappho, you are absolutely right :rose:

If it's not too greedy I'm going to second, third and fourth Sapphos entire post !
I've no idea if it's because the lifestyle of the people on here cause them to be more honest and open, or simply because it is an exceptional group of people who happen to share a common thing but I've already met a number of people on here who's friendships I would love to cultivate and allow to blossom in full.
Thanks to all so far and lets see where on earth the journey takes us all !!

Can I just add that we 'oldies' are only passing on the welcome and the warmth given to us when we first joined. But it's good to hear!
The site has changed out of all recognition in the last 8 months or so; at first it was unsophisticated, unregulated and those who contributed did so in isolation to others. Because of that it seemed to encourage uncouthness, immediacy and (dare I say it) vulgarity.
This new forum frock is so much better; it encourages civilized exchanges, relationships and the long burn which makes for enhanced encounters and what turned out to be great friendships.
So... have fun, join in, enjoy each other!!

Sappho, that was so nice, and genuine, straight from the heart, have fun.

I would just like to add that I haven't met anyone from this site in the flesh ( yes, yes, I know !!!) yet I feel they are all good friends. If anyone I have chatted to via the Chat room, or here in the Forum, ever had a problem I honestly feel I would do everything in my power to help them.
I enjoy the civilised exchanges here in the Forum if for no other reason than I can't type fast enough to spend too long in the Chatroom lol
I too would like to pass on my thanks to Mark and the Moderators (sounds like a band to me  ) and all those that have welcomed me into the bossom of this virtual family confused redface
I'm going for a cry now but before I do have to say that I agree with Jags. The Forum is wearing a very pretty and fetching frock, so much better than those old dungarees. (I may have mis-quoted that slightly)
Amen to all the above really, you're lovely folk on this forum and I just wish you all lived next door.
like to thank all involved with the site ,its the best i've found on here and your always made welcome even if the chatroom does get a bit fast. still the best way to express yourself and say want you want with like minded people. smile
Including yourself Sappho meeting people like yourself makes me feel all tickly lol , you made me feel welcome , which made me stay or I may have left and not returned.
So Big thank you Sappho your a Real Lady in my book (any book)
Big thank you to everyone your all so friendly
Paul
I would say sappho, like so many on this site is a wonderful well balanced person. Not afraid to ask for what she wants and is not inhibited by society. I think most on here are ok, but then we have to have the odd asshole to make us all take stock...? Hey being an old dog does NOT mean you cannot learn new tricks....!
How very true!!!
I entirely agree with Sappho (yes, OK. No surprises there rolleyes ) and I have made similar noises in the past.
I do regard the people on here as friends and feel that they would help me out if I ever needed it, just as I would be only to happy to help if I can.
It is the relaxed, friendly and uninhibited atmosphere that makes it such a great place to hang out. It also makes it terribly addictive. redface
Ok here are my thoughts on this topic. My past is a mess full of attempts that I dont want to go into now, I came on here not knowing what to expect have met some fantastic people and spoken to some fantastic people too. I have chatted to Sappho when she is around and I am always left feeling good, calm, and yet jealous at the same time. Jealous that I have not met her in person (I hope to oneday) and that I have not had her in my life sooner as for me Sappho is a good person I wont forget her kindness and concern for me ever..........
