This probably seems like a silly question to most of you, but I'm trying to find out how to locate SH members by their ID number. Any thoughts? The search engine doesn't seem to allow you to do so.

Do you mean by their username?
If so, use "My Search" over there >>>>> and right at the bottom of the page there's an option for a username search, type in the name, tick the tickbox and press search.

Sorry I meant the number that appears when you look in an advert category on the left hand side of each advertisement. I just made a note of a few numbers earlier on, and I suppose I should have noted the username and not the long number. Thanks for your reply anyway, I think I'll just redo the search and make a note of the username instead.

The numbers in the URL ie add number 4503561 would have the following URL;
http://photos.swingingheaven.co.uk/photo-adverts/swingers-4503561.html
All you have to do is change the number with the one that you recorded to bring up the advert.
