Is anyone else having trouble installing the new version? I keep getting `unspecified error` when I try to open the setup.

You still using '98? May be a compatability problem as I'm guessing it's designed to run with xp... dunno

Thanks, that could be the problem. Guess I`ll have to go back to old one. I haven`t used 98 for ages, so I`m probably going to get a lot of this :huh:

You may need to uninstall the old version, from add remove programs*, it's stabler than letting Firefox upgrade itself. Details
*Assuming Windoze XP**

Before you upgrade, it's worth checking that all the extensions that you use work with ver 1.0. Stupidly I thought they would, and just upgraded. My Google toolbar didn't want to play, so I had to go and find a different version, and superdragandgo (which I simply cannot do without) doesn't yet have an upgrade. mad
Other than that, the install worked fine!

Well, I upgraded yesterday and apart from a couple of extensions not having updates, it's worked fine. And FF will even let me know when updates are available. Yay Firefox! :happy: :happy:

i'm also having a few problems..........all in all a good siite but can anyone tell me y when trying to access some games (kids) it wont open them unless have a plug in.
when you try to download plug in says no plug in available.
having to use firefox for some things and IE for others

Have you enabled the option for websites to install software/plugins/stuff ?
i had the same problem and have just edited my options in FireFox
