But still they come to adore and spew forth their vile chants and hatred at the opposing support. Chants of religious bigotry and insults. Hell, some supporters even take time out from gesturing to the opposition to actually WATCH the field of play.
And when the game is finished, one winner………..one loser.
And the supporters continue to the pub, to cheer their victors or drown their sorrows with such bitterness……
and at home……???????

The wife and children of the winning side, a sigh of relieve breathed, for tonight in the household there will be only happiness. Well, drunkenness and noisy shouting and falling about but it will be brought on by goodness and joy that “his†side won. The children wont be terrified and she might not be assaulted.
On “the other side†a family nervously waits for the door to fly open and all the days disappointments to be taken out on them with ranting and raving and throwing of things in violent outburst, ‘cause lets face it the loss has to be taken out on someone.
Why??? well it’s more important than life or death isn’t it????
