Well after reading a comment in Tevo's Post about his poor old R6 (Hope your on the mend though Tevo).
I got wondering about other bikers views on the best racing track in the UK. confused
The best track for me has to be Cadwell :twisted: as it is very challenging because you need to be technical in your riding through out the whole track and to make matters worse its very tricky in seting up your bike for it.
So here is my list of the tracks
1ST = Cadwell Park
2ND = Oulton Park
3RD = Donington

4TH = Croft
5TH = Rockingham
6TH = Mallory Park
7TH = Anglesey
8TH = Brands Hatch
9TH = Snetterton
10TH = Pembrey
11TH = Silverstone
12TH = Lydden
Love to know what you bikes think :?:
Cheers

sorry only read bike track and started dreaming !!!
donington is very good
I've never been to any of them yet! Cadwell is closest to me and I hear a very fun track to ride. Maybe i'll do a trackday later in the year if I ever get round to it!
Yes - I Gotta agree Cadwell is technically challenging - I decked it on several occasions at the gooseneck trying to get that adverse camber thing sorted........ The full circuit through the trees is very tricky - especially in bad weather !
I guess I'd probably place it first, but then again my absolute fave tracks to race at were Three Sisters (Wigan) and Knockhill in Scotland - I always did well there (i.e never threw it down tha track) - but ho hum my racing days are over now...........
Sex is way more fun though!
well have to say probably outlon park & knock hill in the uk,,,,,,but I live an hour away from the old nurburgring :P , technically not in the uk, but miles better than anywhere else :twisted:
Yea i would say
1 - Oulton Park, most technical track in the UK as voted by BSB riders, the only track i have managed to bin it on several times
2 - Cadwell Park, the mountain is awesome
3 - Knockhill, nice short track
4 - Snetterton, high speed track, nice out of the bombhole onto cromer
5 - Brands Hatch, GP curcuit absolutely awesome
6 - Silverstone, Crap
Rockingham - is totally unsafe for bikes imho so don't go there
One thing i must say is that all tracks are better than the road, so keep it safe rolleyes
Oh !!! i forget to say that the Ring is perfect but mainly on a closed circuit day rather than a public day
Steve lol
Let's face it guys and ladies.
If it's a track with a bike on it it's bloody good no matter where it is!
Even in my sports bike days, I never did track days.
Basically because they were full of boy racers who bore me.
One R6/R1/Gixxer/etc, etc is much the same as the next IMHO.
lol But Vix, we all have one thing in common.
Two wheels.
So even the boy racers deseve some of our time.
Now BMW riders - that's a different story!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, as long as they don't try to impress me with stories of their "hanging off" and knee-down exploits.
:yawn:
Got the tee-shirt, me.
I know what you mean.
We were in Weymouth a couple of weeks ago listening to three guys dressed like out of work power rangers describing how they 'apexed that last bend' and 'backed the bike into this bend' - yawn, yawn.
On the way home we overtook them - all on sportsbikes and us on a 1997 VFR with a full set of boxes.
Our leathers are still drying we laughed that much
I like it VFR man biggrin
Its not always the bike, but the person riding. Not sure if you saw Top Gear at the weekend, but there was a lovely German lady driving a diesil Ford Transit, around the Nuremburg Ring, overtaking sportsbikes, and flash cars. Ahhhhhh what a lady :love:

OK, I'll admit I go to watch the crashes just as much as the racing redface
Mallory at the chicane before Devil's Elbow is a good spot, Paddock at Brands is a real rookie-killer, and it's always a good laugh to stand at the Esses at Donnington and see who thinks it's an overtaking spot. :D
On the other hand, I don't like it when the guys get hurt, so Cadwell is a bit of a downer for me... I was no more than about 50 feet away when Kaggi had that horrible crash a couple of years ago. How he survived, let alone get back on a bike, will forever be a mystery to me.
think I'll go for elvington followed by santa pod (when it's not chock a block with shopping rockets) and finally woodbridge in suffolk,,I'm a real racer,I don't have time to spend ages looking for a finish line,so I'll use the one that's a quarter of a mile straight in front of me :grin:
only been round Mallory Park...............
In a mecedes people carrier............
Hanging out the boot.................
with my legs strapped down by the seatbelts and my head about 2 inches off the floor.
now thats racing!!!!
Yeah, I did see the girl in the transit around the Neurburg Ring - bloody impressive.
as a fan of three wheels (brother races F1 sidecars) my favourites are
Brands (full circuit)
Snetterton
Lydden hill (especial when someone flips a chariot going into chessmans drift)
Brands (short circuit) fun when watching f2's battle it out
Pembrey and for the novelty many testing days at goodwoodbefore they did it up, dragged the sidecar out of the holes many times, when it was open for testing a few years ago we used to have to go and recover the sidecar ourselves when it broke.
