My children's dad is obviously missing them. Makes me sad, but that's life. We move on and get on as best we can.
I know some fathers on here are seperated from their children for one reason or other, some amicably some not.
Thought I'd share the little "Hi kids I'm missing you" message my ex just passed on. The kids love it.
Maybe one or too of you would like to pass it on too. wink
Awwww Jen
I thought that was lovely. Absolutely fantastic. Almost brought a tear to my eyes.
what you trying to do to me jen lol just listened to that and started crying lol yes im a dad and i dont see my son and i drive a jcb wink
I have my daughter here with me until Tuesday and I'm happy as larry..... and if you're wondering who larry is......... dont ask me, I haven't a fecking clue!!
Wow, that's an excellent find lass. Really struck a chord.
My daughter lives with her mother 200 miles away, and I only get to see her if I travel up especially, or I get her to stay with me during school holidays. Thankfully I'm getting her down to stay with me for two weeks soon, so from the 18th onwards I'll hardly be on here! Nope, I'll be outside blowing my meager wages on ice cream and fairgrounds.. wink
Its nice to hear and see fathers posting to say they miss there kids... but unfortunetly not every1 is the same...
My daughters father has always been given means of contact with her... but he just doesn't want to use it. He decided once again... (this is the 3rd time i might add and shes only 8)... that he would walk into her life and then after 13 months walk straight back out again!!!
He hasn't made no contact at all since Feb this year and also has changed his phone number... as she found be trying to contact him and getting some woman telling her that she now owns the phone!!!! Some blokes just don't deserve kids!!!!!
All cradit to those of you that do take part in there childrens lives biggrin
any bugger can be a father........
not every man can be a daddy!!!!
it takes a special person to be a daddy..........for all those of u that dont get to see ur kids thru no fault of ur own...i am sorry

my sisters ex is like that, she has always offered him to see their son but he's rather go out with him m8s than have his child for the night, he turn up every now and again for a cuppa and asks the kid how hes doing at school while drinking it and goes and thats his idea of spending time with his child confused he has 2 kids from his first marrage who he has not seen for well over 10 years and a daughter from a 1 night stand who he say hi to in passing cause she lives with her mum on the next street :?
I got rid of him in the 1st place coz he wasn't the slightest bit interested in her when she was small... hes never changed her, fed her or anything. He also rang her the nite b4 christmas eve 2004 and told her he wasn't buying her a present... and that was when he DID have contact!!!!!! Not that she needs anything from him... she doesn't want for anything biggrin
Nice little tune biggrin
Got my 1st fathers day card this year :D
Having them over 4 two weeks in the holidays wink so plenty of days out to be had .
Or might take them geocaching for a few days.
ahhh that was sweet, and yes it is nice to see dads posting
like lil miss said not all are the same
my ex sees my 2 boys once a month but thats only cause i drive 120 mile round trip to take them, he doesnt bother phoning through the month to see how they are either, the thing is they are 14 and 12 and now even when their dad wants them they do not always want to go and see him, cant help thinking this is hs own doing.
luckily im with someone new and he is great with them, we have his 2 boys nearly every weekend, when his ex isnt doing anything with them
Very nice Libra+Love
I think if every father would take the responsibilities for his kids, there would be a lot less
trouble in this world.
If you really want a fail-safe way to move a dad to tears, try reading the beautiful 'Waking with Russell' by Don Paterson.

Waking with Russell
Whatever the difference is, it all began
the day we woke up face-to-face like lovers
and his four-day-old smile dawned on him again,
possessed him, till it would not fall or waver;
and I pitched back not my old hard-pressed grin
but his own smile, or one I'd rediscovered.
Dear son, I was mezzo del cammin
and the true path was as lost to me as ever
when you cut in front and lit it as you ran.
See how the true gift never leaves the giver:
returned and redelivered, it rolled on
until the smile poured through us like a river.
How fine, I thought, this waking amongst men!
I kissed your mouth and pledged myself forever.
Don Paterson
I finally got to watch it on my brothers pc. (his is a mega pooter, mines a bit less mega)
What a great song, its so cool! Not suprised your kids love it biggrin
Got me feeling all "awwwww" smile :) :)
I used to make a 40 mile round trip every Friday to pick up my two daughters when they were little now i make it to give them their pocket money even though they are 18 & 16 years old.
Me and the ex still don`t really talk much but she has never tried to stop me from seeing my girls, i have always paid my dues and at Christmas i would buy presents for my kids from their mother to help her out.
