Ok what do I say and where do I start.
Some of you have already had a call from us and to those that i have missed out I'm sorry.
Earlier this morning we had a call from New Zealand informing us that Kev (KBUK) has passed away.
From the information that we have been given, he was at work and went out for a fag (sounds like him doesn't it) and when he was missing for a while someone went looking for him. They found him in his car. They are unsure of the cause of death at the moment but they are doing an autopsy tomorrow as it does not look like a heart attack or an aneurism and they have said it seem bizarre as he was in good shape from what they can see.
For all those that knew him I'm sorry for the bad news and that I had to do it this way.
To Kev, may you rest in peace and it was a pleasure knowing you and having you as a friend.
Mr Tigs.
We never had the pleasure but I am sorry for your loss. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad time. xx
Goodness, I remember meeting him a few times at munches ages ago.
Very sad news sad
I remember him being on Munch lists many years back so sure we bumped into each other but dont recall when. Thoughts with all of the family and friends at this sad time.
Really sad to hear this news, such a lovley guy.
I remember his posts in the forum - always made me smile
Thanks for letting us know.
Gutted to hear this news.
A nice guy, thoughts to family and friends.
Its awful when you hear news like this.
To his community of friends here that grieve and most importantly his immediate family.
He's in a better place, he was required somewhere else.
RIP.
Really shocked to hear yet another one of the old crew has gone- even worse that he went there for a new start :-(
Been thinking about it all day sad
RIP Kaybuck.

RIP Kaybuck.

Life is a bit crap sometimes isn't it.
We have spoken to New Zealand this morning, and thought we would let you know that the autopsy has been done. Kev died of natural causes, and was in no pain when he died.
This has been a small consolation to us, we hope it is to you too.
Very sorry to hear this - I remember him from several munches way back.
RIP
We are both deeply saddened, shocked and stunned, we were told yesterday and couldnt believe it.
You were a great guy and will be sadly missed.
Thanks for some great times and wonderful memories Kev, the parties, the munches and socials....the most memorable one for us was the swingcamp weekends.
R.I.P Kev, forever in our thoughts,
Special love,
Dino and Hornyred. xx
Just got back and I'm shocked to be reading this.
Had some good times with Kev at socials, including a LOT of ribbing about his shoe hoarding habits!
Such saddening news.

Thank you for the update.
He was so happy to be starting another life in NZ.
Sadly missed.
Still cant quite believe he is gone, but im sure he would have been touched that so many people cared about him.
RIP Kbuk
Heard about this second-hand on Facebook as the thread went up four days ago, but Gem and I have both been struggling to put our thoughts into words. We were both genuinely shocked and saddened, but couldn't quite say why? T'is a short thread this one. There's a much longer one elsewhere with loads of cross-referencing put up by people who genuinely, clearly loved the guy that I've just been reading. For reasons I can't quite put my finger on, I can feel the corners of my eyes pricking.
Met Kev a good number of times at socials, nearly always at the bar if memory serves, back in the days when you could still actually smoke while you waited for a pint. Always had to check his name-badge as someone I recognised, just to be sure, but I was always pleased to see him, and oddly, he always seemed pleased to see me, though it's not even as if we crossed threads all that much, let alone said more than a few words to eachother. Maybe that's it. Maybe it's just KBUK was fixtures and fittings you expected to be there and would be able to easily chat bollox to as we waited our turn to get served? Notwithstanding the fact that he's been in New Zealand a while, obviously, being the sort of bloke who could just decide to himself that he was just gonna bugger off to New Zealand, see what happened. Maybe that's it? Maybe it's the having the big-bollocked bravery to actually do it, and then die that makes me sad? Or maybe that should make me smile, cos he did it, and lived it? Maybe it's just things you get used to being there, and t'is only when they're not there you start to ponder on 'em a bit more? confused
For quite a few reasons I think, I shall miss him, as someone I would have liked to talk to more. RIP Kev, and heartfelt sadness for those who will miss him all the more. sad

Just another little update...Mr Tigs has flown out to New Zealand so that Kbuk has at least one friend with him. He arrived safely this morning at our time. If anyone is interested the actual service is Friday morning at our time. ( Friday afternoon New Zealand time).
Thank you all for all your wonderful comments about Kev, he was liked and loved so much.
We are all still struggling to cope with this news but we will try and keep peeps informed of what is happening

That's one of the most special things ever. You've just made me cry. I think Kev would be very happy to have his friend there with him. Really lovely. My thoughts are with you and yours and I'll be thinking about Kev on Friday and indeed on many occasions to come. xxx
Have just heard the news, so saddened and just wanted to add mine and Morbius best wishes to the crowd.

Our thoughts are with you all, R.I.P. Kev x x
Saw comments on Facebook and wondered who Kev was, then I came in here to find out!
Really sad news and we are deeply shocked and 't seem to find the right words but are remembering Kev with a smile.

Wow - I'm rather lost for words (and that's a rarity!).
I always loved Kev's posts - one of those people who, if you saw his name on a thread you knew it had to be worth reading. Often made me laugh and almost always made me think. I only met him once or twice but remember being struck by what a really nice guy he was. Every bit as warm and genuine in the flesh as he came across in his posts.
I'm really sad to hear of his passing.
RIP.
Will
That's such an act of friendship, It's overwhelming to put it mildly.
I didn't know Kev, But I echo what others have said in relation to his forum post.
RIP
