As some of you know she's been slated in the past when posting on here for her spelling problems, but this little gem from Google might allow her to get more involved perhaps!
Hurrah for the Googlemeisters!
she should join in anyway, if people do not like her spellings then they can p** off and read someones elses post, to many people on here find it funny to take the piss out of peoples spellings/typing styles maybe now they may stop when they realise it puts people off (some of who have genuine learning problems) coming and joining in.

I once saw a surprising article in a magazine about spelling. It was written by a college professor, saying that spelling isn't as important as most people think. There followed a long story he'd written in which every word was mis-spelt, but anyone could read the story easily. Apparently, the brain only needs to recognise small parts of any word to understand it, so put away those spell checkers and keep posting - we can all understand what you're saying anyway. :)
:) I don't think a lot of people have problems with spelling per se ... more the people who use text speak all of the time. Genuine dyslexia or learning difficulties are easily excusable but it's those who don't make an effort at all that people gripe about.
Making an impression on someone here may lead to fun encounters :twisted: if you permanently use text speak and fail to put in effort it can put people off.

SH ANNOUNCEMENT -----Sir Lee will NOT be posting for the foreseeable future due to the fact he's in hospital with two broken legs and two broken arms, I only managed to break 8 fingers so I will get to the other ones once the police are no longer posted outside his hospital door

To not join in cos you have problems with spelling and grammar is to allow the self rigtious, loud mouthed minority to win!!! I know a number of people who have been very hurt by this type of critizism.

Took an absolute hammering for it!
So whilst yeah you can decipher things based on the overall pattern of the word (i can read that for example), it doesn't stop smartass people having a go on the forums.
It's a "if you can't, then don't even try" sort of thing.
So theres definitely a place for Google spell check - but after trying it out its probably not going to be 100% good enough
