Does anyone like freckles dunno

when i was a kid i had a freckly face which may seem cute , but as a teenager i hated them mad

but as i got older they seemed to disappear smile

but now i,ve got lots on my arms so i,m glad when i have a tan it hides them ...unfortunately since my tan wore off i,ve discoverd them on my chest :shock: , i,m not sure if i like them or not ...looks like i,ll have to get another tan ...or a QA inspection wink

I quite like freckles.
They do have a tendency to disapear during pubity, but as you are finding the skin damage caused by getting a tan can get encourage them back.
So to avoid future spread avoiding the sun or using very high factor blocks or creams could be a good idea especially if you are fair skined anyway.
The other alternative is to try to hide them all with a spray on tan as long as you don't end up looking like cheap as chips man.

I think freckles are cute although I hate it during the hot wether because I get a freckle break out on my nose and the top of my cheeks which I find rather odd because I never ever had freckles when I was a kid.

Thanks for the advice drawist, think you,re right though, trouble is i love sun bathing ....but have just as much fun letting baz smear on the fake tan all over with the hope of not looking like the cheap as chips man redface

I get them in the summer, and until they invent a cover stick for the odd blemish wheich goes on with freckles included, I`ll continue to hate them!
Nothing worse than disguising a spot with a clear patch when you have freckles!

I have freckles, on my nose (in the summer) on my chest :shock: and accross my shoulders! My brothers used to call me 'Rusty Nose' when I was a kid which really upset me at the time.
Now, I dont mind them too much and on other people I think they look kinda cute, on me, though it makes the bridge of my nose look 'rusty' lol

If you get "new freckles" after a sun tan has faded then this is more likely to be skin damage... if in any way raised or itchy you should get them checked out and infact it doesnt hurt to get them looked at anyways, in most cases its just the skin ageing and not, I believe, being able to break down the menalin back into the surrounding tissue.

Thanks for the info piercedjon, i,ve not had any probs as yet they just look like normal freckles, maybe they were already there and i had,nt noticed before confused

or maybe it,s just my age dunno

I've always found freckles very attractive - especially on redheads.
Maybe it's a freudian thing about my best friend's mum... hmm redface

I thought this was going to be something about Freckledbird !!!
But on a more serious note, its a good idea to be wary of any new spots etc appearing after you've exposed yourself to alot of sun. Not to get anyone worried, but melanomas often start off being mistaken for spots/freckles.

Mine are just a smattering I get over my face every summer, have done since I was a kid. Upper arms too.

Good point yes but if you have a lot then you might be worried about any or all of them. I don't remember the exact locations of all mine in relation to any of the others; I also get more in the summer. How do I know if a few more remain after my tan has gone? They look the same as all the rest confused

Just keep an eye on them, if they start to change or you are concerned about them in ANY way, the get them checked. It`s always better to risk wasting a doctors time ;)

Freckles tend to be slightly lighter that other skin blemishes, but this varies between people obvously.... Skin damage can be different in colour or density than your other freckles.. the main pointers, if I recall correctly, are raised, itchy, iregular in shape; this also holds true with moles on the skin, the previous can be signs of problems.... however any GP should be able to make a cursuary check and let you know if its just freckles, damage, or melinomas... all will nowadays say stay out of the sun and dont get a tan, lol.

Yep v v v freckly back and arms don't even notice em anymore!
Get a few on my face when the sun comes out but wouldn't know where to start with checking!

Jn is a redhead, so she has freckles, but Br likes them !
The only downside is they look weird under UV light in clubs.
Freckles are okay in our book. They're cute !
