The woman (an I use the term loosely - more like a couple of brain cells on a stick) serves about as much purpose as a Betterware catalogue.
I don't believe Paris Hilton should be sent to jail.
There are WAY better ways to punish the self-serving, boring little waste of oxygen.
My suggestion would be to help out at a feeding station in Somalia. It might just remind her that aspiring to the size of twig is obscene in a time when the majority of the world's population go to bed hungry every single bloody night.
I believe foxlady sums up the debate nicely - and Mr Powers you are right Paris did not choose to be born into money but she has constantly sought and contrived fame and a high public profile. That is what she hired a publicist for, not to make more money, she doesn't need the money. When in effect she leads a self serving shallow and vacuous existence. I'm sure there are many people born into that level of wealth that manage to lead relatively private lives. She has no talent to speak of and will milk this latest episode to increase her world profile even further.
Sorry but, during my previous rant, I forgot to say where I stood on her jail sentence. The polite version is that the law must apply equally to everyone. She should not be allowed to get off just because she happens to be a) rich (undeniably) and b) famous (though God knows what for!).
The real issue is that all citizens should be equal under the law.

Paris is out -- She served just 4 nights of the "reduced for good behaviour" 23 days she should have served (she was originally sentenced to 45 days but got half price for turning up at the compulsory hearing).

her publicists are probably doing cartwheels and rubbing their hands with glee.....she will make a ton more money for doing time....
Have just heard, Paris Hilton has been ordered back to court to explain why she was released, contrary to official judgment. Just think of the money she will make, telling her storey when she gets out of jail!!!
Also just heard, with reference to a previous post about George Micheal, he has been banned from driving, and must do "Community service" also he must pay a fine! The drugs he had taken were "perscription drugs" so if you kill someone while under the influence of perscription drugs, that is different from killing someone on illegal drugs.
