it appears that the best gay people are men

I would say the best homosexuals are men, but women seem to make better lesbians wink

My 14 year old (nearly 15) daughter is fixated with having a gay best friend !!
Everywhere we go she trys to spot gay men ....cos it appears that the best gay people are men !!
Recently she has taken to informing me that one of her friends mums is gay and wouldn`t it be really cool if I was gay !!! WTF ?? I`m not even sure I knew what homosexual was when i was her age ...
Is this normal ? lol

My step-daughter was the same at that age and was forever making friends with gay lads of about the same age as her. It amazes me that 14 year old lads are so up front about it and so sure of their sexuality at that age!

Yes me too. Glee is respensible for a lot of things lately. Like normally "uncool" parts of school life suddenly becoming the thing to do. My nephew who previously wouldn't even watch a boyband video on MTV because it was "too gay", is now part of a "glee style" club at school.
Dresses differently, even tal;ks less like a chav these days, thanks Glee, I was thinking maybe I'd have to kill him before he become a chav!
Nothing new and it tends to come from the media of the age...way back in the early 80's it was "fashionable" for A list celebs to be in the company of gay friends. If you think about it in that context it kinda sucks, but I'm sure that if these young people keep the company of gay men and women, or boys and girls, then genuine friendships will be formed. If it were someone older who was seeking to befriend someone on the basis of gender then it might be a cause for concern, but fourteen year olds are going to go through lots of "try outs", some more worrying, before they discover themselves. Keep up the good work and the communication channels open as she's clearly happy to chat about things generally; I'm sure you'll be able to share an opinion or two at various stages and be able to guide her a little..as much as we parents can hope for really.

.... it kinda sucks....

I can assure you, there's nothing 'kinda' about it when I suck! :rascal:
My mum always said, 'if you're gonna do a job, then do it properly' although I'm sure she didn't mean sucking cock.
I prefer the word 's-w-a-l-l-o-w' myself - deep throat rules
Anyway, I digress :rascal:
Maybe that's where flower has gone.. for a big gay 'queer eye for a straight guy' type makeover to become 'big gay dad'!
Talking of which, did anyone see the pictures of Shane Warne in the paper last week? What has Liz Hurley done to that big hunk of an aussie bloke? He looks more like a Soho cha-cha boy now sad
