Perhaps one of our lovely moderators could make this a stickie for you Rainbows
smile :)
We could, but unfortunately we won't. Nothing against you, Rainbow, or the idea of what you are doing, but it would set a precedent for all sorts and we would have more stickies than you can shake a stick at and we would all have to scroll down the page to get to the normal posts!
sorry

How about the diary thread?
Well you can sooo tell who isn't shagging a mod!!! evil mad
wink
Jokes aside - I never expected a sticky 'cos this isn't directly SH "stuff". It just may be of interest to some of the SH members.
I am quite happy keeping it bumped up. give me an excuse to visit everyday. Yeah - like I need an excuse!! lol I woud appreciate it not being locked if poss though?
As for the Diary thread - tbh thre are so many Pride events this year - it would end up just clogging up what is a diary for SH events.
Neil and EAsy - feel free to fly the rest of this thread off to wherever you want
I feel a compromise coming on!!!
OK, this is shag free help here, Rainbows, so you'll have to corrupt me some other way wink !
Rather than put each event in the SH diary, how about you keep this list up to date in this thread and we have one link in the diary for it? If someone is looking for one of these events, it would show up in the search option and eventually people would get used to looking in the diary for it. How does that sound? Then rather than just posting 'Bump' to keep it on the front page, just post each time you add a new event to say you've added one.
OK with that?
Mal
The nicest guy in the world - maybe!!! biggrin

Yes there will be and I will post the date(s) when I have them.

Will keep you informed.

Sarah - Mark has very kindly added weblinks in the first post to those events that currently have websites up. Just click on those in blue! (ain't he clever smile )
As soon as the others let me know their dates and websites I will update the first post with dates and websites - and then give it a little bump to the top.

We are gonna try and get to the Manchester one (fingers crossed). Maybe it could be turned into a munch too?
We will also make an effort to get to the London ones too, esp if Rainbows is going! smile
Rainbows hun (kiss) I can't afford to go to ALL of the Pride events in London...but I'd love to go to at least one.....which is the biggest and most popular?

DH - if you can make Brighton it is well worth the trip. It is by far the best day out and there is no entrance fee. You can even take your own cooler-box and picnic if you want. It always has a great atmosphere.
London is difficult to say because of the split between the entry paid event (Biggayout) and the free ones - Soho and the new Trafalgar Square one. Personally I think Trafalgar Square is going to be good this year - but then the event in Finsbury park has the popular bands, the fun fair etc etc. Hard to say.
But if i had to choose - I'd go to Brighton. Train fare is worth it. (after all - Brighton is the gay capital of England smile

Cool!! It'll be good to see you again. kiss
Oops - forgot seeing you next week redface
At the risk of seeming to bump this up to the top again - I'd just like to say that a link to these dates has now been added to the SH diary and i will post all dates as I get them.
Still to come: -
Nottingham, Leicester, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Cambridge and Cardiff

Manchester is definately on over the August Bank holiday weekend.
Following on from the succeessful Europride event tho, Manchester Pride has changed to 10 day festival, (19th - 29th August) with a sports (there's a Pride Games with competitors from around the world) Arts and entertainment, a film festival, conferences and debates, heritage and history events and culminating in the 'big weekend' which is over the bank holiday (26th - 29th), whioch willl include the parade etc.
