Yes it is, you are the first person to ever notice, well done cool
Mr Tweeky
Ohh and BTW I think Worf appeared in Voyager near the end of the series, wasent he involved in communications with voyager or part of the final rescue attempt confused:
cool tweeky. im surprised no one has updated the buck rogers story, what with the galactica remake and all.
15 mins to go...
Can't believe I've just read Three and a bit pages on Star Trek!! whats worse is the fact that I knew what most of it was about redface
As for Roddenberry, I don't think that he was quite the visionary that is made out. Although he was undoubtedly a good story teller, most of the ideas factored into Star Trek as great futuristic innovations were either A, Already in existence or B, Made up due to budgetary constraints.
e.g the transporter was used/thought up because it was far cheaper to beam them down than land the Enterprise each week.
That said, I prefer the early ones and it kills an hour on a slow hungover Sunday afternoon
One to beam up, Harry out!!
P.s Looking at Kirks run rate, I'm sure he'd be a certain for SH..
hehe kirk was one for the ladies.....and he wasnt afraid of green ones either.
who can blame him when they wanted his brain in a jar or to blow up his ship?
Did you know that when Captain Kirk kissed Lt. Uhura, it was the first interracial kiss ever to be screened on tv?
What am I talking about?! Of course you do!! biggrin
yeah and i read somewhere the lady who played uhuru (cant remember her name)said she hated william shatner, and it was the hardest scene she filmed. lol

Yes, good ol Jim, Black, Green, Blue, he'd shag em all. A real space adventurer. None of that diplomacy rubbish.
If they move, shag 'em, if they don't, phaser 'em (on stun obviously) until they do lol
Harry

One other note, why is it that no matter what planet Kirk landed on, the aliens spoke pefect English, with the exception of the word Love?? Which was normally pronounced Luurve by the time Kirk had his way
yeah poor old chekov and the boys never got a sniff........

Perhaps the Enterprise had a translation "ray" like the Tardis.........
Ohhh, sh*te Dr. Who, now i've done it....... biggrin :D :D
Well, Sulu might have but he's kept it quite for the last 40 years... one to beam up..

Bones: They're female Jim, but not as we know it
Kirk: So!!!!
Harry
did someone say doctor who? lol
Ermmm - no......
New thread for that one........me thinks......
This image is from the original story board from the episode "The Trouble with Tribbles", but because of American censorship, it was never shown. This has been kept in a secret vault along with the Universal Translator which actors used to communicate with Flipper and Lassie.
The trekkie who obtained this image barely survived, and lost one of his Spock ears (signed by Leonard Nimoy). He has since been banned from the next six Star Trek conventions, and is currently seeking therapy. So I hope you appreciate the sacrifice he made!
The theory is proved.....lmao biggrin :D :D
I guess you all also knew that the very attractive long blonde girl on the original Star Trek (not sure if the char had a name) later played Dr Polasky in TNG.
Mr Tweeky

Biddie, biddie, biddie Mr Tweeky, or to put another way. The attractive blonde was played by Grace Lee Whitney who played Yeoman Rand in the orginal. The Dr Polaski actress was a guest star in two episodes playing different characters in the original but wasn't a regular (Thanks to Imdb!)
Now, its time to blow my brains out ;-)
Harry
Imdb - the webs gift to the uneducated film buff like me....lmao
Dr. Polaski (whatever her name is) was quite a regular in '60's stuff

ok! all u disbelivers! try this!
black hole - They didn't explain blackholes correctly in Star Treck though. Aside from that there were people studying the theory of Black Holes or 'Dark Stars' in 1916.
warp drive - ref: Chronology Protection Conjecture
enershaldampeners? As we are incapable of warp drive yet - it is difficult to comment on that one.
transporters - was the original black and white film "The Fly" made before Start Treck?
lazers - yep they were being used in all sorts of movies before ST.
just a few of the things on Star Treck that r now real an can be done?
(ok so warp speed antransporters cant be done with ppl yet but is only time?)

Have a read of Stephen Hawking's The Universe in a Nutshell. He is a treckie and refers to it frequently - explaining what can and can't be done too (so far).
