Never heard of it! care to share details?
I know 2 people who use it and they love it....
One of them is a teenage girl and lives on her phone (text messages and internet) and has a Blackberry and I believe they now support BB messaging as well...
IIRC they spend about £12 per month...
I don't know of any coverage problems either....
It is a piggyback service and uses the O2 network, which does seem to have better quality of coverage than Orange which has really gone down hill since i first joined them in about 1999. I've just got an Iphone handset which is currently locked to O2, so fine for GiffGaff- just got to check if the O2 factory unlock can still be performed now the original owner has upgraded to a new iphone. I've ordered a sim so i'll give it a go in about a month when my current service ends and i'll let you know ;-)
I am on giffgaff and it suits my needs .. phone one's that is lol. I have an iphone 4s. found it to be great I use a goody bag for £5 a month you can buy a goody bag or credit or both gives you differnet plans mins txts etc depends what suits you, give's free calls n txt to giffgaff users then u get 300 txt 60mins to other users for the £5 goody bag. Use the wifi mainly on my phone so cost nowt. You can top up credit has and when if you want if you are sending pic messages you need credit though. You can register download the app do it all on your phone no messing.
I can highly recommend it.
I can highly recommend it.
No personal experience but I know 4 people who are on GiffGaff and when my contract ends in August, I am probably going to join them.
Been using it for a few months - great when it works but can be a pain when you have problems. Very much a cheap & cheerful service.
Prices look good, well on their website comparisons with other networks.
Though as a 'piggy back' network/service, just thought we'd try their Find out the service status of your area facility and whilst shows a good signal for home post code, we input 6 common locations we usually travel to and found they had no coverage in 3 of the 6 where we know we have a good signal with our current provider.
Think we'll stay put and pay slightly more knowing that we'll have a signal in the places we visit.
Giff Gaff is the way to go if you want a pay as you go deal and actually use your mobile, especially if you are a data user. Just google and check out the options. I have 2 mobiles, both payg, neither is data enabled, and I don't make 30 mins of calls a month, nor send 12 texts in any month...so it's hardly even worth my while looking at deals.
