...but I thought "weegie" was an affectionate (?????) term given to those from Glasgow by the classy capital crew. As a Lanarkshire lad living in the Lothians (and who likes a little alliteration), I am often branded a "weegie" by those Edinburgher wannabe's (who can't quite afford the house prices) just because my accent is more Craiglang than Craigmillar.
(please pm for definitions or information on geographical locations)

Lol, it's true though, admit it!!! I had been spending a fair amount of time in Glasgow in the near past so I know what's there and I still say I live at the better end of the M8. :2fingers:

Considering the next munch is in Glasgow I reckon Edinburgh won`t be better at least in November... confused

As for the obvious comments..we both know Glasgow is the best ignore those east coasters..if Edinburgh is that bloody good how come they have to come to weegies for that better service?

Hi there, from "along a wata" on the coast here. Not actually a native, coming from the Valleys of South Wales, but I moved here via england. I just keep going north. Eventually I'll probably end up in Norway! Anyways, I rambles on, so welcome to SH!

Gonna be there on Weds & Thurs, with my Union, so I have a prior engagement, at the bar, natch.
I think sometime in April, Reese will be coming up there too, when I have my Union conference, for a week.
Will have to make plans for that!

I'm not even much of a novelty.......hundreds if not thousands of us in Scotland. Though I may be the only one in this village!
