Hi-I'm from Liverpool but I've not been out in concert square for a while. However, shoes a must and smart jeans or nice pair of trousers. To be honest-as with any city, Its any excuse to not let you in!!

I also come from Scousepool and we use telephone directory's now. Pedias are to expensive still.

AYE AYE, I can talke umbridge to some of those remarks. Liverpool is well down the list when it comes to violence. Yes als with all cities there are the stupid few but I know loads of people from the reat of the country that once they have been in Liverpool dont want to leave and before you say they could if they wanted too!
Now Ive had my twopence worth I cant stand Shell Suits and the socks pulled over the trousers. I always find that smart casual is the way to go. There are loads of clubs arond concert square from 80's bars through to dance. Dont beleive what they all say you will enjoy yourself.

Especially when they come from people who have absolutely no personal experience of the place.
It is my favourite UK city - mainly because of the people, but also because of the wonderful architecture and history of the place.
I'd certainly rather be in the roughest of areas in Liverpool than somewhere like Moss Side in Manchester!
So - my advice is - Dress Smart, Be polite and Have a good time.
Especially when they come from people who have absolutely no personal experience of the place.
It is my favourite UK city - mainly because of the people, but also because of the wonderful architecture and history of the place.
