inspired by a couple of posts i`ve read
i thought swinging was no strings lust, fueled adult activity and was shocked by a couple of posts i`ve read where it seemed to suggest some thing else was afoot
i could understand 2 singles falling in LOVE but as a married the use of the word to describe feeling for another in swinging i thought would have been definite no no
in an unrelated post lust, envy, pride, greed and wrath (5 of the 7 deadly sins )was all vented which resulted in me seriously considering do we know how far we get involved in something that is meant to be a no strings situation
so: do you have set in stone rules
if so do your ever break those rules
and has any form of jealousy or protective instincts when swinging Friends have gone to meet others ever entered your thoughts
We have two set in stone rules that are never broken.
1 always use condoms with anyone else other than each other
2 never play without the others permission and consent
There are other minor rules i guess but they might be rules for just that encounter and as long as we know or check beforehand alls fine. It just comes down to communication and not assuming anything.
Not knowing other peoples rules can be a sure fire way to disaster, especially when they dont tell you till after you've broken them. We met a couple in the past where that happened.
Honesty, dignity and respect sum ours up.
I dont see how you can have a rule that says "no falling in love". Its probably better to ensure you talk about it if it starts happening or if either party becomes uncomfortable.
Our golden rule is to read "Eats Shoots and Leaves" before making postings which require (or not) the use of the apostrophe wink

Not necessarily. It depends. In any event, the word I think you're looking for is polyamory?

so: do you have set in stone rules

Yes. Nothing without the other's consent.

Surely this depends on whether you brew in a cup or pot ? I sincerely hope you're talking about brewing up in a pot.
Since you mention it though I tend to make my coffee in a particular way too. Sugar first ( yes I use my sweetnes and require topping up ), then coffee ( this way you don't get coffee in the sugar ) then milk by which time the kettle is ready.
Back on topic my golden rule is to treat people like people. Respect is easily given but hard to earn.

My apologies for the grave error ! In my haste I appear to have changed the meaning I intended.
As long as I get the spooning right though :-D

The making of any beverages is a scientific matter. As with all things scientific things have to be measurable. To make coffee things are measured in tea spoons plus the required amount of milk. With tea it is difficult to measure the strength of tea by its colour alone as this will change depending on the colour of the mug. Therefore, to make a consistantly similair tasting tea all the measurable ingredients must be put in the mugs first so that the strength of the tea can be correctly measured.
In the words of Captain Jean-Luc Picard "Make it so, Number 1"!!

If one adds the milk to the cup before the hot water and teabag it doesn't brew very well does it.

I like my coffee like I like my women. Dark, strong, from the corner of the street and costing no more that 2 pounds a go.
Hang on, that's not right....
