Must have been the same policeman I met once. He was so impressed, he asked someone to pass Judgement on my driving. He Judged me, and gave me points without even watching my driving. I think points make prizes, but I'm still waiting for that rolleyes
Another policeman once complained he couldn't catch me, when I was riding my bike. I don't think I know him, so why he wanted to stop me for a chat, I have no idea
you guys should teac me driving then, i absolutely hate bay parking and am always across the lines a little redface , they should have biger bays like the ones in mk down by the point mad cops always do me in for speeding rolleyes
There's another thread where I might put this but I can't think which it is right now.
However, here is proof that my local authority feel free to impose parking fines while ignoring regulations themselves. It makes my blood boil .

How do I make photos fit properly? It's starting to make me as mad as the council makes me

The legal minimum size of a parking bay is 71" but the Ford Focus is 73" wide - how's that gonna work then? confused:

I can remember the days (cos I'm an old git) when one could simply tear up parking tickets and put em in the bin.... (that was the floor behind the front seats in my case :grinsmile... I used to live and work in London 30 years ago and I would average at least 10 tickets a week. I used to have to pay maybe 1 in 25......... at £6 a go
Alas along came these computer thingies and now you can't get away with it sad

Well maybe I'm just an anorak like you babe... flipa
I've been driving (and parking) for 20 years now and I've never had a parking ticket as I park according to the regulations.

So from this pic are we to assume the twat who couldn't park their car is male because there are specific bays marked for women and disabled drivers? Wonkiest looking parking I've seen in a while and there's really no excuse for it in an empty car park is there?
Me? I'm not a perfect driver by any means, but never a parking fine or points biggrin And I much prefer to reverse into a parking space than drive in, makes parking a doddle.

DD
Actually we have a chronic parking problem in our city these days.
My house was built within a mile of the city centre in 1890 so there was no provision for cars as ordinary people didn't have them in those days.
Now we live in a street with 60 houses .. 2 cars minimum per house with no off road parking and only room on one side of the road for cars ... we had resident parking (which costs us all £25 each vehicle per annum) brought in to stop people coming from out of town and parking in our street and then walking down the town to save paying £4 to park for the day but now as everyone who lives in the street has a permit there are 120 cars trying to jam in the one side of the road that is designated for parking and there just isn't enough room.
The first ticket I got was when I parked on the yellow lines outside my own house cause I had been out till midnight and I would have had to park 2 streets away to be legally parked and I didn't want to walk home alone in the dark at that time of night. The police came by at 6am and ticketed everyone who was illegally parked.
I complained to the authorities that I didn't want to risk being or murdered and they basically said park legally or stay at home then :taz:
DD sad

Sorry DD, mxths not my strong point
My driving is so good that I often get photographed while doing it.
My eployer`s insurance company frequently ask me to write reports about mine ( and just how did you put a four foot square hole in that 300year old listed wall?) redface

Couldn't agree more - that parking is diabolical !!
Not straight, too far forward and even facing the wrong way - he'll never pass his test these days... lol
That's nothing you should see my parking at waitrose, but then the car next to me always parks badly first so I have no choice in the matter.
