To be honest I thought Jenson was quite pragmatic about it afterwards, as the mistake by the 'lollipop man' probably cost his a podium pisition!

thats my point...... he was lucky that his error wasnt fatal..... and i agree that JB wasnt to blame and that he lost out cos of it..........

I have only had the pleasure of standing 50ft away from some of the F1 cars on the start line at Goodwood last year.... My insides didn't stop shaking for about 20 minutes :lol2: The sound is out of this world.... *Rubs thighs in a Bob Mortimer fashion* :rascal:

Club's at the bottom of Hangar straight, but not as fast as it was years ago, Copse is at the end of the pit straight.

:doh: I was thinking last night about that, still couldn't decide.
wouldn't think I'd been going there on and off for the last 20 years, ah well.
Shame they spoilt one of the best viewing places at Vale by building that hospitality suite.
Also a shame I won't be there this year.

For those who may be interested, entry to testing sessions are free, as is parking. Viewing is from 'Farm' all the way round to the end of the Pit Straight, near Copse Corner. Some of this can be under cover in the grandstand, which was useful today as the weather wasn't that great. Eight teams testing today, including Renault, Maclaren, RBR and Honda. More testing tomorrow and Thursday as well. Next F1 testing dates are 19-21st September and 11/12th October. Anyone who may be going, let me know as I'm not far from there.

Well Alonso has the pole position and with Renaults blistering starts we should see him out in front for the first bend closely followed by Schumacher. Might see Raikkonen 3rd at least at the first bend with Montoya moving up to 7th from his 9th position, but if Montoya can get a clear run we may see him in the top 5 after the first bend.
The McLaren's are quick round Nurburgring and should see them fighting with Ferrari in the later stages of the race.
Honda seems to be off the pace yet again but good to see Barrichello 4th on the grid in front of Buttons 6th, hopefully Honda has set Barrichello's car to how he wants it finally.
Renault seem to have the upper hand with the pit stratagies compared with anyone else so may see a win for Alonso with M. Schumacher not far behind him if he can hold off Raikkonen and Montoya. Massa i think should be in the top 6.
Driver to watch i think in this race if he has the reliabiltiy from his Cosworth engine is Rosberg (12th on the grid) who may slowly work his way up to grab some points at the end of the race.
