i love KFC gravey
Yeah Silky would kill multiple people for a chicken breast with KFC gravy , although it has a slight " bottom of the fryer scraping" after taste I reckon :-)
Well apart from KFC last place I had gravy was on the Isle of Wight, just at the end of the Ryde pier. Can't get much further south and it was lovely.
Think the shop gone bust now sad Just have to move up north cool

I see nothing wrong with chips and gravy, a culinary delight that Mrs Pete serves up on a regular basis (by insistent request)
What I do object to is lazy feckers who cant be bothered to make a proper gravy and just sling a couple of scoops of that disgusting gravy powder into a jug and add hot water.
Gravy making is an art in itself, great care and attention to detail is required to make a good gravy.
It should be well (but not over) seasoned, must contain a high percentage of meat or vegetable stock, be of just the right consistency, not too thick, not too thin, it should be thick enough to stick to the chips but not glutinous. A little wine/ port/ sherry goes a long way to enhancing its flavour.
Right, where’s the chip pan……………….
Mornin all wink

I totally agree - the powdered stuff is rotten and good gravy takes time and needs constant attention. My Onion Gravy goes down well with bangers & mash..!

Chips and Gravy are best with scraps. A dish I've only experienced when living in N'cle for 5 years. The bits of batter that have fallen off the fish scooped out of the fryer and piled onto the chips. With the gravy poured over it all glues together in the tray and you can physically feel it gluing your arteries together as you eat.
YUM
My flat mate buys chips from the chippy ~ makes gravy in a glass pours it over the chips and drinks the bit that left in the glass ~ what a class dude.
