Hi to everyone, biggrin

not long joined and still takingit all in! :shock:
Has anyone any experience of a mentor and were they any help to navigate the site and cut out the rubbish :!:
We are in no rush as neither of us have joined a site like this, hence why no pix and no profile as yet, as it really needs a lot of thought.
Some seriously funny stuff in both the forums and the chatrooms lol

Looking forward to meeting some of you in the future. wink

with regard to getting a mentor, they can guide you and be a point of contact if you need one, they dont work miracles but can offer advice about this site and 'swinging' generally....stuff like the do's and donts, the etiquette and generally answer any questions you might have but feel daft about posting in public or just a quick query. They can help you get involved - from techie stuff like posting pics in the forum & what's what with the chatroom, to explaining the difference between private parties & socials and what is a Munch :idea:
I guess it can be frustrating at times - you can lead a horse to water but you cant make it drink, and everyone gets out of this site what they put in, wether they have a mentor or not wink

you'll soon settle in and find your way - just yell for a mentor here if you want a bit of guidance en route :thumbup:

Believe it or not - we were too shy to ask for a mentor redface

We muddled about for a couple of weeks and then found the forums, personally i love it, most are very helpful and welcomed us.
Even though we had muddled along and had a few succesful meets, the best and most welcoming part was our first munch, so thanks again to NWC wink

As for the profile - we worried too - but now do realise that it changes as you go along, which is what we originally read in the forums biggrin

Well many thanks for that, I think we'll go the mentor route as advised and not, hopefully, make too many "newbie" mistakes redface
