I had a browse on the East Anglian Ambulance Service website today and they ARE indeed promoting the idea of the ICE number.
There is also an article stating that the second e-mail currently in circulation IS a hoax and also that Vodaphone are assuring customers that they are not vunerable to viruses due to using the ICE number.
Apologies therefore if my previous post caused any confusion....it was however posted in good faith.
I can now reinstate the ICE number into my mobile as I did state that I thought it was a very good idea.
