i took some of the dogs out last night (3 terriers) and had a nice long walk...it had rained most of the day but the evening was fine.....got back to my house and took the dogs through the house and to the kennels......i made a brew and sat out back in the dark with the dogs just making a fuss of them......
all 3 dogs jumped up and started growling for no reason....i sat still and they were wandering all over and were very jumpy.......the hair on the back of my neck stood up too....but i sat there quiet....the dogs carried on for a few minutes...not barking as if theyd heard some 1 but just growling at nothing......then as if nothing had happened they just came back upto me and went quiet.......was really wierd...
has any 1 had that hackles up feeling over something you cant explain.....
i thought i was the only long legged beasty here.........

Ooooh, a spooky thread - cooooooooooooooooool...... :scared:
When I was 13 I saw my rabbit hopping up a neighbour's drive.... a week after it had died :eeek:
Me and my mum used to scare each other no end playing the ouija board, it was especially scary when the phone used to ring when we were playing and there was no-one on the other end of the line :uhoh: . Me and a mate also used to play it at school, we were comforted (and very smug) when the spirits told us that they would always look after us :smug:
When I was 15 I predicted that a dying family member would die on a Monday. For several weeks Mondays came and went, then one particular Sunday night I stayed up all night cos I just knew I shouldn't sleep.... at Monday morning I felt a calmness come over me and I finally slept, to be woken by the phone at 7am. The caller said the family member had died --- at :eeek:
I bought a house 3 years ago in a street in Preston. I hated the place from the moment I got the keys. I could never rest there and I was convinced I was never alone  . I had a cat then who went totally loopy and she used to stand an maiow for hours at nothing. My rats also hated it --- how did I know my rats hated it...? I just did OK! I never slept well there, except when I slept downstairs with the back door wide open --- not a wise thing to do in a high burglary area, but not to worry, at least burglars are alive  . Sometimes I couldn't even go in at all and I used to sit in my backyard all night rolleyes   . Anyways, when I confided in some neighbours that I was having problems settling in, they told me that all of the houses in the street were haunted - their stories of what people in the other houses had experienced and that fact that they could hear babies crying at night even though they, and the house next door, had no babies DID NOT help. They told me the street was built on an ancient burial plot, which completely finished me off, whether it was actually true or not.... I put the house on the market and was out of there
I don't really believe in ghosts, I'm far too logical, and there are sensible or coincidental explanations for all of the above.... but I like my ghost stories OK :lol2:
blue
