Well this is the first time I have been able to get on since Wednesday and the move went really well
Let me take you through it
Wednesday - packed a few boxes (like 300) stacked them in rooms and then concentrated on ensuring Corrie was calm and relaxed - thinking - jeesus - does one house contain this many bits and pieces
Thursday - Up early and pick up van ready to put boxes into storage - drive van all day - feel like white van man - cant understand any of the hand signals that drivers are giving me though !!!!    - last load went into storage about 10pm - phew - does it ever end
Friday - Up early - again - start to take apart wardrobes and when halfway through removals men turn up !!! - Corrie has already taken one load to the temporary box - woops I mean accomodation - and the removals men introduce themselves to me - I tell them it's Corrie who has booked them - the leader of the removal men on hearing this said " oh she's the one that makes the tea then!!!!   " - I explan to them that the vision of Corrie they may have maybe somewhat different from the actual person that they meet later in the hour - how right I was lol lol lol - anyway after taking them on the conducted tour of what was formerly Corrie Towers I go back to dismantaling wardrobes and leave them to empying the house - Corrie returns - how do I know this - simple - I hear a clanking of tea mugs from the kitchen !!!! - anyway I was then rushed off me feet between about 6 jobs at once - ensuring the removal men were comfy during one of their sevral tea breaks and ensuring Corrie was OK
At about 12:30 the removals men have finished packing the two vans and I give them directions to the temporary place and tell them how we will be there shortly
At 1:30 the people moving into Corrie's turn up - jeeeeessssuss they are here I say - so hurriedly I finish packing the van - and follow Corrie to the other ouse - leaving the old Corrie Towers behind
Get to the "box" to find the removals men sat on patio chairs guess what - having a fag and a cuppa tea - brilliant innit
Anyway - about 5:30 we have unloaded all the vans - stored it away minus sofas (they cant get then in - even after suggesting taking the windows out!!!!!) and have finally dispatched removals men without them taking the tea pot (funny - I never saw them use the loo once ????) and having taken the dishwasher apart and put it back together again following the removal men loosing the on/off switch we have finally settled in
Phew what a day - but I think - I'll have a bath - guess what - the bath plug has not got the rubber seal around it - so I resort to kitchen roll - lol - anyway I get me bath
Now its Sunday night and we have finally finished getting settled - all the beds are in place - Corrie's cat's are pineing to get out and all is quiet and settled
Yes - I did say a year ago I would help you,and I have loved every second of it - roll on the next move lol lol lol
Thank you for your total support and love - wouldn't have missed this for anything
Love you my darling - here's to the next move - to our castle together xxxxxxxxxx
