Now...how mad am I?
Just been to the supermarket to get a copy of the new Harry Potter book.....at 12:30am!
I should not be doing things like this.... I should by all rights be blotto by now!
Unfortunately my little sis wanted the 1st edition and wanted it now....and who am I to deny her that? If I didn't take her she'd probably never speak to me again :twisted:
There were a lot of people there actually...... quite surprising as I thought I was the only daft sod to go out and get a book in the middle of the night lol

Anyway, just thought I'd share that with the few people on here tonight!

.......and JK Rowling is sat there in her private chateau in France listening to the Ching Ching of tills all over the UK....... and good luck to her!!.
Can u imagine how sick the publishers who turned her down must be feeling now.... hehehe

Didn't see any of those today when I went to pick up a pre-ordered copy for my mum, but I did have the good fortune to be able to carry it round in a tesco bag instead of the special edition paper bag from Smiths, which was just a walking advertisement for Hairy Plopper mad

In the paper today it said Kwiksave are knocking them out at each for anyone interested,but I think you have to be under 15 to buy one.

well we went down to merry hill at midnight and nearly fainted at the queue, but stood in it we did for nearly half a hour b4 we realised we was in the queue for WHSmiths, and we had ours booked at waterstones lol

wasn't funny at the time tho confused

Sorry but you bunch of sad sacks - can you not appreciate the importance of sleep, the books will have still been there in the morning!!!!
truthfully - I do enjoy the stories but not that much.

The place I work in as a bouncer has a 'Waterstones' next door, and I swear there were people queueing from 8pm onward for the midnight opening.. Come quarter to 12, there was at least 70 people in the queue waiting to get in, some dressed as witches, wearing Gryffindor scarves..
I didn't bother with queueing mysel', and paid for my copy back in March on came on Saturday morning, but wish I hadn't bothered now as it cost me back then, and I could have bought it for in Tesco that night. rolleyes

Haven't started reading it though, as I'm in the middle of re-reading the previous book to remind myself what happened..

Mrs TnH is half way through, and keeps pestering me to tell her what will happen.. she even read the last few pages to find out where one of the plot twists were going :shock:
Me I just read it from start to finish, and I not letting on, you will enjoy it more if you read it in order :)

I'm still only half way through.
Thought I'd go sit in the garden for a nice peaceful read in the lovely sunshine
but oh no
the stupid idiots round my area keep riding their "motorbikes" (can't really call them that as they're too small) making a load of noise.
Now I don't mind a bit of fun but it's been all day so far, all day yesterday and all night Friday up until 11pm.
It is seriously doing my head in!!! mad

On a lighter note, the book so far is really good.

Finished it...
Its the Potter version of "Empire Strikes Back".
Anyone else finished and agrees? obviously don't reveal anything about the book to those still reading!
Solid 8/9 outta 10 effort tho
