Matt
I've been on 'blood of the vikings, meet the ancestors, time team, the advert for the rheged centre in cumbria,an advert for the royal armories in leeds,I'm in the marbles credit card advert (the viking at the top of the castle who's left the keys in his car)the detectives,(fur coat and no knickers)with jasper carrottt/robert powell,(I was the viking with no underwear on who's tackle was flashed by jasper carrott on bbc1 at prime time)and my greatest claim to fame,,(drum roll please) I was king of the tree people in the movie of prince valiant,,behind the scenes I also helped choreograph the combat scenes in gladiator biggrin
I was involved in a 6 part documentary about the London Youth Orchestra ("who's number includes inner city children who come from under-privaliged and deprived backgrounds") with a twat for a Narrator.
it was about a piece of music composed by Carl Davis (famous British composer. Anyone? confused ) who wrote this for the LYO and the London Symphony Orchestra to perform together.
it culminated with the concert at the Royal Albert Hall and Princess Di was the guest of honour. I was in the whole series (which my Mum bought a video recorder especially to tape) and for the concert I was in a very fetching pink Pringle jumper with yellow stripes which looked fantastic on camera
It is very embarassing to watch now, although i did get to meet Princess Di in the line up after the show.
She shook my hand and said "Oh, so you were the tall one at the back?"
I was 12 ffs!
I was on cctv once biggrin
been on the telly 4-6 times
3 times on songs of prais when i was younger (6 - 9 - 10 ) first at chesinton world of adventures , second , was caterbury cathederal , and the third was on a P&O ferry to france and back from dover
then on a documentry about denbies (i think thats right) vin yards when i was about 12 i think ..cant rem to well as i lived in scotlant and it was only shown on grampian (got on it when visiting my gran and grandad down south)
last 2 not sure it counts as they were adverts kinda , one was about FAB (Friends Against Bullies) when it was first started by hermitage acadamy . and the last i was in the background as my sister did a young scots enterprise thing with our school down in cumnock (for those who know the area the high school not the acadamy ... i have some dignaty :P)
matt
My first tv appearance was on Thames News, way back in '82 ( I think confused ) when Pope John Paul II came to town. The school I attended was Roman Catholic, had a heeeuuuge playing field ( plenty of space for Air Vatican's helicopter to land ), and was only a mile from Wembley stadium. I don't remember too much about the interview ( I was only 6 or 7 and had not grasped the significance of it all ), but I do remember being asked what I was going to wear, and with it being a Saturday arrival and a special occaision I started reeling off my Sunday Best outift - till I got interrupted by the headmisstress saying " No, you are going to be wearing school uniform! " mad and I am sure I gave her a look that translates as the 7 y.o. equivelent of " :fuckinghell: You're 'aving a :censored: larf, int ya? I tell ya, you can poke that right up your :moon: ! School uniform?....on a Saturday?.... :censored: off!" etc.
The second time was more fun  stood outside Tower Records in Piccadilly, waiting to meet "Iron Maiden" for the release and singing sesh, for "Best of the Beast" 2cd album. Leaning on the crush barriers waiting for the doors to open, I see some dippy tart with white ( not blonde ) and orange dreadlocks ( she's white BTW ), microphone in hand, with a camera man, doing some interviews with other punters. From this point on I ignore them - until they come to me....she asks some dumbass questions ie " So what do you think of "Iron Maiden" releasing this album? " and I play along " Well I think it's a great achievement, for any band to still be together after 20 years, still recording - more so because they have gotten negligable airplay on radio. " This goes on for a few minutes, until she makes her fateful move and asks the immortal question...." So are you looking forward to seeing "Iron Maiden" here today? " and something goes 'pop' in my head and I reply..." "Iron Maiden"? Jesus Christ - I saw the line here, and I thought they was queueing up for drugs! " :silly: She fucked off after that! But here's the kicker, all the other punters got onto MTV's "The Headbanger's Ball" that week as it was the last item ( or so I later heard ) and they wrapped it up, then said " Oh yes, there's always one...." and then there was me in my moment of glory!!!! :rascal: :rascal: :rascal:
Without knowing or trying - I got the last word in again....JUSTICE!!!!!!!!! Yes, I am bloody proud of it as well!!!

Ooooh!! Many times on Coronation Street, as an extra, driving vehicles up and down the street.
I once did an item about Shut'n cut cars that was shown on Sky News. My mate rang me up and said that I was being shown every 15 minutes throughout the morning. I was working at the time so I nipped home and set the video to record Sky News for the whole of the afternoon.
I ended up with a 6 hour video of the Cardinal Basil Hulme's Funeral, because they decided to bury him on the afternoon when I was making my star appearance!! evil
I have been on Clapperboard when I was a kid, and was shown leaving Old Trafford after United had lost in the Champions League Semi Final a few years ago. I have done a quick interview on MUTV and ......................... I can't think of anything else a the moment. confused :? :? :? :? lol
