Has Cams Made Swinging Go Soft????

Hello well putting a real question up here not as a newbie but as someone interested in how technology affects our lives - work and social.
Now not everybody uses cams I know that but they do seem to play an active part now in peopes lives as do chat rooms.
In fact to the extent that people may no longer meet up just interact through messenger, cam and chat rooms.
Is this the way you see it ?
Am I alone in my thoughts here?
Anyway just a question or two ........................ biggrin

Noooooo!!!
Our web cam was good when den worked away from home so I could put on a show for him- but nothing beats the real thang!

I'm wondering if the cams are a way for some couples to take their first step into swinging?
Personally though I much prefer the real thing.

I can't stand the cams. I used to join a chatroom and flick from cam to cam but I dont bother anymore unless I know the "cam"ers and know they wont be tugging or wiggling when I put their cam on :shock:
I think cams in a chatroom, stop the chat! :smoke:
YES I remember the good old days when the chatroom was a chatroom ...... hours of daft chat & comments ......... many a night ended with aching "smiley" muscles.
Off back to hold onto my zimmer ( I mean steveg)

I also hate the cams and feel as you do. Although I would in no way want to stop the cams though as I know how many people enjoy the exhibitionis pleasures to be had. As well of course as those voyeuristic ones.
Being a regular of a 'local' area (3000+sq miles! rolleyes

small ffs :roll: ) lol

It can sometimes be exassperating to have cammers from 100's of miles away coming in to strutt thier stuff. Especially as there are plenty of non area specific room available. And always the open up your own room option.
However all in all the stuff works well.

I think its a great tool. After all i dont close my eyes when i chat to people out side. And with phone calls you can hear reactions to what you say so cams do the same.
Not all the blokes are tuggers. And its not just the fellas that play on cam women ans couples do too. It's most likley proportionate to the numbers on here so lets leave the bloke bashing to one side for a change.

No nothing wrong with cams at all but my point being that are people meeting less because they can get stimulation through chat rooms and cams - not just sexual?
I know many people cant meet as have kids etc etc so I can the attraction but I predict that in the next couple of years you will be in a chatroom and be able to see as many cams open as you want - technology there already - with music and sound.
So maybe swinging will move from keys in middle of the table to full swap online lol

It's a bit like cars and bikes, they both serve the same purpose, ie transport from A to B, but can be used in completely different ways. Cams and chatrooms also serve a shared purpose, a means of communication and, just as someone might prefer a car to a bike for a particular journey, so people will make the same choice as to how they like to communicate at that moment in time.
I like the camming. it's great to see someones' reaction to what you have written, to be able to comment about what you see, the interaction is much better and you therefore don't feel as distant as just typing into cyberspace!! lol

We use the cams on MSN especially to get to know the look of who we're going to meet. Occasionally we play on cam redface

but lately this has only been on private MSN. Personally I love the naughtiness of playing on cam because I like being watched. lol

Good post. I think cams serve a great purpose, I have to say when in chat I much prefer talking to someone who is on cam, as Goosey says you can see their response and I like that.
As for whether couples and single use it as opposed to actual sex then yes I think there is a large proportion that do. There are many who want the thrills of cyber sex but not actual meeting, couples and singles alike and that's fine. I also have no problem with the males wanking, this is there as much for them as anyone else, turn off if you don't like. But I am far more inclined to chat with a male who shows his face.
We using our cam in conjunction with everything else, to get to know people, to chat in chatrooms, to play on cam with couples we are considering or have played with. BUT it sure doesn't beat the real thing.
