Has someone ever questioned if you are for real?

This follows on from Darkfires thread about intuition and knowing whether who you are talking to is for real/complete nutter etc.
I just wondered if anyone on here had had the same problem, except them being on the recieving end of the accusation.
Well, perhaps 'accusation' is the wrong word!
We have found that a couple of gorgeous single females that we have messaged (not on this site) have been overly cautious (quite rightly so), just as we had been in the past.
We even found at one point we were almost having to persuade them to believe we were who we said we were which then just sounded desparate!
We got a webcam to try to get over that problem, so everyone could see who we were, but then we became overly paranoid - by not wanting to go on webcam unless who we're talking to had one too! It's like a viscious cycle!
Has anyone else been frustrated/angry/upset/not bothered if someone has questioned if they were for real? How did you deal with the situation?
We found the best way is to not worry, and get chatting in the forums and chatrooms, we've met so many lovely people that way, that 'authenticity' (lol, I'm cringing at my phrases) is no longer an issue, and if we get the fakers, its just funny now, and we sometimes even play along with them for a bit of fun on our part! Is that just evil??!?!? :twisted: )

know exactly what u mean...........our rule of thumb is.....if the cpl /male/fem asks for pics (msn).........and stops talking to u when they either dont want to show u theirs or stops talking when you say ....i`l display one but wont send you one.....then we just let em get on with it........................a few occasions weve beenchatting to single fems (supposedly)...on msn ...when....they ask us to cam or to send pics.....but wont reciptrocate........i`l say to mrs ninja........now i`l bet thy`l go staight offline when i ask what im going to ask.......now bear in mind the supposed fems...have expressed an interest in meeting up !!!.......ok.............so i say (after weve displayed who we are), have you got any pics you could display...........and a rude one comes up ....so i say.......have you got a face pic?.......bang....straight offline..............now i know some people may not want everyone seeing they`re face ....but on msn..when they want to meet up?!!!....what are they gonna do if they do meet.....wear a bag ovr they`re heads lol.................
simply put ...make your own rules....stick to em, and dont try and please anyone else , your in it for yourselves ...no one else.........
at least thats what i /we think .... rolleyes

Sorry to admit this but I'm a lazy old git - I cant be arsed to authenticate send pms or try to contemplate any request from anyone asking if I'm for real!
to date I've personally met the best peeps on SH first in a chatroom & then at a social... any one new I meet will be through those avenues... Maybe when I pull my finger out I might just start trawling the ads!
But I do have an idea of what your going through & that's probably the reason why I can't be doing with the hassle of putting myself in that situation... Like I said I'm a lazy git :P
But then you did say forums and chatrooms... this is the bestest & easiest way to play

In "real life" I make it a point notto prove, justify, or very often, defend myself. And as I can often be heard to say that this is real life, that would extend to the lifestyle.
To be fair though, I've never been overly active in the "hunting" in the Photo Ads or chatrooms; preferring to "prospect" the forum and socials where people can more readily "see" what they're getting wink

yeh, i was wary of writing 'accused' as thought it too strong a word, but then it perfectly describes some people we have chatted to!
And then you get into the 'maybe its a bluff, maybe they're accusing us of being a bloke, cos they're really one too'....
and then you think you saw a shadowy figure following you in a rain coat then hiding behind that lampost..... :shock:
and then there's the cameras that have been secretly hidden in your bedroom....
oo, it's all a conspiracy, we all need a secret identity!

Just for clarity, we thought the same as you uncle dammy! We have only been questioned a couple of times, we thought we were getting on great chatting with a great gal, then she thought we weren't for real, but it didn't really bother us- it wasn't meant to be! lol

So we never felt angry etc (I was ust giving people some ideas on what they might have thought had that happened to them!)
The 'real life' part you talked about is pretty much the same as us, and just like you, extends into this part of our life too :-)
But some more wisdom words uncy! ;-)

and I think for a few different reasons too dunno

So yeah, I have met some people , although its usually folk I aint met before, who are wary of me. But I prefer to think its more because I'll say what I think etc than being truly intimidatingly scary - I'm only actually like that part-time, or with people I really dislike wink

I'm also aware that some people are wary of me due to rumour, chinese whispers and general gossip. End of day, those who know me, know. Those who dont... might find out one day :twisted: :rotflmao:

I have been accused of not being me in the past-I was even told I had lifted my pics off the web confused

I could have argued that I would have picked better pics to pass off as me but I couldn't be arsed lol

i get the "authenticity" thing a fair bit.... i just take it with a pinch of salt now....
but this is the normally the type of conversation that takes place...
Them: "we are looking for a black guy to have fun with...."
Me: "cool... well if you both want to get to have a chat first with me, see how it goes and if you still want to then good......"
Them: " do you have a pic?"
Me: "loads....like the ones i have in my profiles....." (they are all head shots)
Them: " what size is your cock??"

I don't know why it happens but i think we all get in, i suppose that some people have been burnt so much that everyone is weary now....

well im still kind of a novice at this so im reluctant to part with a face pic until ive chatted a bit .. as i really need to try and deduce that im not talking to someone at work or a friend of a friend.. because of that ive been called fake a few times - but really only by people who arent interested in getting to know someone a bit first anyway - anyone who just wants face and naked shots asap, without putting in any effort to chat.. well im not really interested in playing with them.
as i said - im still kind of a novice at this - so maybe im going about this the wrong way

sounds alright to me.............we have put in our advert that we want friends first and foremost.....so these peeps...who ask for msn....that we`l freely give....then sit there saying cam? or pic? all the time.......to which we reply ..."we dont send pics anymore...if you want to see us we`l happily invite u to our private gallery for the face pics"....but only when weve gotten to know them first.........if they stick around to chat then thats fine.....but ussually it`s straight offline..........can be really frustrating sometimes , but if they dont want to stick around then they arnt worth the efoort anyway........like ive said before...we prefer the chat rooms for arranging meets...........esp: if they are on cam......as we always cam in any case..... wink

I like to think more of the fact that they are too thick too realise they are pissing off a real-deal single bi-fem who does play with singles/couples/groups and will be happy to take buddies to clubs and the like. It usually takes a few seconds of thinking about it that way and then all of a sudden the 'pissed off' turns to 'pissing myself' with laughter (well a good chuckle at least).
