I recently suffered Anaphylactic shock from eating a Kiwi fruit I just wondered if any one else has ever had a bad experiance with eating fruit
anaphylactic shock is when you react to some thing in my case my air way started to close and i had dificulty in breathing
This should explain it better. My daughter got stung by a wasp yesterday and slightly reacted to it. But Anaphylactic shock only happens after u have been bitten twice by a wasp. Only female wasps will sting. Males are always in the 's however only sting once before dying.
Anaphylactic shock can happen to anyone and those who have reacted before normally carry a antidote in a pen form to treat themselves before the condition gets serious ie: Swelling of the throat, rash, tongue swelling up etc.
Seen it happen to other people but never had the problem myself. Youngest daughter reacted badly to a peanut butter sandwich which closed her airways at an alarming speed and left her gasping for breathe, although a quick shot in the arm at A&E put her right just as quickly. We also have a friend that carries some tablets with her (could'nt tell you what they are) as she suffers anaphylactic shock or something similar, after certain insect stings and bites.
One of the treatments is epinephrine other is susphrine one in the "tum" one in the "fat"
Hi well not in that league but i did once eat an apple that unfortunatly had a wasp on it that i didnt see..the little sod stung me in the tongue and i had a few problems for a while..my tongue swelled and i started to choke but my parents got me to hospital and sorted out quickly ( i was a child at the time)
the motto of this tale???? look before you bite!!!
I would check out the family of fruit it belongs to and maybe avoid them too. These things often are triggered at anytime, and lucky you were able to sort it out. NOT funny when it happens to you or you see it happen to someone you love.
